Update after 9K Miles under my belt. I'm liking it so far...

My trainer is a fairly good trainer, and he has 2 years in the industry so he isn't very experienced but enough to help shape me into a trucker. I have a friend who is finishing up his phases and is going to be my phase 2 trainer and than after i'm done with phase 2 he and I will team, he's thinking about getting his own truck.

So far no complaints, No nothing.

I have been reading every bit of info I can get for CRE and if it is worth the time to go to there refresher course and get back into the trucking industry. From what I can gather is a lot of people are saying they are trying to force people into leasing and not letting people go solo company! Is this correct. Cause I do not want to lease. I just want to get some more experience. Any help out there?

they will not force you to lease
the last guy I talked to yesterday was getting a new company truck to run solo out of riverside for the walmart dc
but there will be other annoyances
WVC is crazy right now. People wait in line for a motel room in the afternoon since the dorms are all full

The info above isn't complete. If you are a new driver you will not and I repeat you will not get a new truck if you try to go company. Only way you will get a new truck is if you lease. True they don't force you to lease but if you are trying to go company solo you better be prepared to wait for a month or so... If you are tying to company team maybe two weeks maybe more...

You will not get on the Walmart dedicated account, with a new truck only possible way to do that is if you have your foot in the door with your trainer and your trainers dm or unless you have been with England for a while.. other than that you more chances of winning the loto ...

As for me, I have a friend who is going to lease, and I'm going to team with him and he has his foot in the door with a dedicated account so might be good

all very true ... but I do meet new guys and people on this forum that have gotten a new company truck running solo.
I wouldn't plan on it either though. :)
I hope you guys do well as a team. My wife and I are itch'n to get out with our own truck.
