Hey , I never heard anything good about FFE, except that they are going broke and may shut down.
But hey, it goes back to that opinion and butthole thing................

Is the per diem 52/day with FFE? And that is on top of the miles correct?
Sorry if it sounds stupid just trying to figure out how much I can make
Thanks -
You only get the per diem directly from FFE on your check IF you run enough miles to make more than what they say is minimum wage. Your best way to do per diem is to NOT collect any of it UNTIL you file your taxes. Otherwise FFE will screw you out of some, and to gain it back you will have to pay your CPA more to get everything you're owed.

Per Diem Paid (less tax)
this was from one of their ads
But they consider it part of your pay?? It is not on top of the miles??
Do you get .29cpm and then the 52 per diem or is it subtracted from your pay??
Thanks ahead of time since you worked for them I was just wondering....
If they subtract it, geez thats less that minimum wage!!

Per Diem
Up to $52.00 of your earnings, for the days you were away from home, will be considered PER DIEM pay.
There will be no taxes withheld from that portion. Subject to certain earnings limitations, this is provided for
each day that you answer the question on the check call screen that you were on duty and away from home the
previous day. This lowers your tax liability and results in a higher net pay.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Does that mean the miles plus per diem or the miles minus per diem??
i am confused as to how you can make 36k-40k a year with them??
Thanks for your help Lonewolf -
The way it was explained to us was that if you ran that day you could get up to $52 from FFE. However, if for that day you didn't run they wouldn't pay you the full $52 so it was a crapshoot. Now LEGALLY when you file you can claim your per diem for every day you were on the road, then you (or your CPA) has to subtract what the company has already paid you on per diem. I don't fully understand it, and I will be the first to admit when it comes to accounting and taxes my head doesn't hold it well. My suggestion would be to get in writing from FFE how their per diem works exactly, and then talk with a CPA who works with truckers to help you understand it better.

Back home from a 6 week run. I don't know what happened but the last 2-3 week's I've been running hard. Finally making some change. We'll see how long it last's. Winter is around the corner and time to start banking up everything we can because thing's are going to slow down. Word on the road and in the trucker paper that are wonderfully thoughtless government is trying to pass a law for a new 8 hour rule which is really going to hurt for everyone. I'm courious to see how that's going to play out along with E-log's and companies not rasing the pay therefore trying to pull trucking into a 9-5.
It's going down hill and if that passes trucking is going to suffer a seriously hard blow. I know it's a dumb idea but at this point don't really have anything to loose and the 14 out 2 home isn't going to work going to have to stay out a month or longer but going to try a lease and if it don't work just go back company. Stay out 2 months for the start of the lease to bank enough cash to be able to take home time and not go in the hole. But like I said, nothing to loose so it's a long shot. Maybe more BS but trying to do everything poosible to make more money. -
