I agree. But it's not the money. It's the principle. He wants to play hardball and not even own up. I tried to be a gentleman, but he wants to be a knob.

Yeah, that's them. I think they're out of El Paso though.

Basically, you get to use a trailer for a certain amount of time, and you get paid for it. You just have to deliver the trailer at the stated location within the alotted time frame. So you are kind of double-dipping, getting paid for the trailer, and any loads you haul with it.

I just got $750 for 7 days to bring a trailer from Indiana to Dallas. So I took a load from there to Palestine TX, and then grabbed a load in Crockett TX delivering in Selma TX. Then I grabbed a load from New Braunfels TX up to Dallas and then delivered the trailer afterwards.

$500, for ft. worth to el paso? If I am reading that correctly and that's all it was paying, count your blessings and replace Hola with a colorful spanish word, for if or when they contact you again.

EDIT* never mind, I see now what you were meaning. Guess that isn't too bad then if you get the use of the trailer for that 7 days.

Lol. It was a loadout. I had 7 days to make money with the trailer. Put it this way, instead of ME paying rent to use their trailer, THEY paid ME to use their trailer!

That isn't too bad. How in the world did they put some other carriers name on the ratecon at all and not yours when they spoke to you to give the load to you anyway? "Time is of the essence". That's cute.

Because people don't give a rat's hiney about paying attention to details. It was probably a ratecon that they had just used and were repopulating the info. That detail probably slipped under the cracks. I mean, if they forgot to change the $695 to $500, which is to their detriment, why wouldn't they screw up other things?

That is why I would had just moved on. No reason to waste my thought and time in dealing with people like that. You will learn that when you are dealing with people like that it does not pay off in the end. They will waste more time and you will miss out on other options while dealing with them at least that is my experience in life. I would love to hold all of them accountable as well but my time is worth more to keep moving forward instead of sideways.

I believe this name is a sub of the main one they run. I checked it earlier but forgot who the main company was.

Hell yeah. That was actually a very high rate for such a short distance. At least from what I'm used to seeing. But remember, I'm a newbie, so I'm sure there are others out there that are doing better.
