Sounds like Denver has got great things. Just like going to a taco bell not all are the same quality and standards. I like p cola, I just wish miles were better. I been out for 6 weeks straight hoping to make a better paycheck I see I haven't got 600 miles in one day in a while a lot 400-450 average last two weeks and one 500 mile. I am always ready to roll.

    Well put Joker.

You are right. The idle issue is a pain, but overall may takes good care of its employees. They take good care of me I know.

I've been w/ Schneider Bulk for 6 mos & this afternoon is the first time that the truck has ever idled. It's over 100 deg here in DC & I was soaking wet after the pre trip. Now that I drank a half gallon of water, cleaned up, & ate dinner it's relax time. & there is no relaxi g in a sauna.

My truck is equipped with a Mochilla unit (evaporative cooler). It works well from about 90 degrees and cooler outside. Thus, I use it primarily after the sun goes down in Cali. Usually not much hotter than 90 in Oregon & Washington which is where I run also. If its hotter than 90 outside, I idle the ice cold A.C. with no repercussions from my company, which is as it should be. ;-)

    platinum Thanks this.

Soooo ... whats the current idling policy at May right now? Its been a hot summer all over the country. Are you being charged? Are you getting fuel bonuses? I'm looking at May as my first (maybe only) company to drive for.

Hey, I am new. What are these terms-idle time and APU? Did this driver choose not to accept loads and received a fine or charge because of it?

Thanks man. Well said but there are times when things are made difficult by others negligence. I believe in self determination but I know we can take advantage of situation.
