My first thought was that the OP was a troll..no one in their right mind would take an offer like that.
They will use him for a few weeks until he quits from not getting paid. Same old same old thing we see in this forum everyday.
Toss zero experience into the equation and nothing good will come from it.

Unfortunately that experience cost me $5k in unpaid wages from my first driving job.

I paid an escrow once ($1,000) to a company that I leased on to. The escrow was specifically for the elog unit (was pricey and forgot the brand name of it) and I had no issues with paying it.
When I eventually left the escrow was returned without delay. -
Just being located in Chicago would scare me.
