If you get a Blackrock, it's almost better to NOT have one! It was noisy and sounded like a portable generator, which I suppose it is LOL

I can't even use my fridge....I spend too much time sitting, 15 hour breaks and 34+ hour resets....my batterys can't handle it. There ok for a 10 hour break but anything more then that they wont hold a charge till I drive for a while....So I have a very exspensive fridge and inverter just sitting here talking up space...I'm going to figure this out until I get a truck with an APU even if I have to add 2 more batteries to the #### truck! lol

LOL yup im sure you'll be there first priority. :biggrin_2559: Silly newby

Walstib, good luck and congrats on making it this far, I really do mean that sincerely. Reading your posts you've brought back lots of old memories, and I wouldn't trade those lessons learned over the years for a whole fleet of Black KW900's.

    Keep on trucking man.

just run your fridge and stuff until the battery warning comes on then idle till it charges and repeat. your not supposed to just sit there in the dark quietly twiddling your thumbs waiting for a load. use your gadgets.

i didnt sleep idling until i got that last beer run in the freezing weather. it is totally more quiet than the blackrock haha...i always try to park at the end where another truck wont be right next to it...and i was already used to vibration so idlin aint no thing.

    I got a Freightliner not a Volvo I don't have a fancy Battery warning light :biggrin_2559:.

And I've tried to idle to recharge the battery and that works for the first 10 hours or so, after that the batteries die right after I shut the truck off.

But what I could do is use it and idle to recharge to till that stops working and then Idle until I get moving again.....I just don't like wasteing all that fuel and then loseing my bonus. But I am going to use this fridge I can't keep spending $150 a week on food and stuff :biggrin_25510:

I'm not sure if it's the "fuel" bonus but on my paystub it says "Bonus Pay $132" or somthing like that then I am also getting tutition reinbursment even though I havent even been here 2 months yet lol So with all that plus all my miles and stops my take home was $899 and change!
