And to the OP...don't sweat it man.
It doesn't get complicated until you get over 12' wide...from there on up, here in the east, it goes downhill fast (curfews, escorts, etc.)
West of I35...even 13 feet isn't all that bad.

if you have an amber light on the vehicle, you must have the permit, if the light is on or not.

Most important in Georgia, go to right at the scale and pull up on the scale behind the building. Do not follow the lights no matter what they say, even if the Pope is out there waving you around, go to the rear.
