Even if a team runs 5,000 miles per week at $0.11cents per mile that equals $550 per week before taxes. You mean to tell me people actually work for this crap pay with being away from home for so long? There are plenty of companies out here that pay new CDL drivers $0.28 cents per mile starting out the gate. Keep looking elsewhere other than a cheap paying company.

#2 I went from never even had sat in a semi truck to driving this big gentle giant at waterloo hawkeye, we got to jump in trucks everyday plus the had simulators to learn how to shift first before we even jump up in a truck.
i mean waterloo hawkeye had there #### together cause when we got to ceder rapids we were way ahead of the students that were there sitting around in that facility we were already for our PT after 5 days of being in waterloo . oh and we were at the motel 6 before we came to waterloo by the time we got there we had orientation and that #### went by so fast my head is still spinning how fast they got us out of there and on the road ..i had no problem getting a trainer at all i must have lucked out cause my trainer was cool and everything went smooth ..but if your picky and trying to get a trainer that don't smoke good luck ..i was flexible i did'nt give a #### weather my trainer smoked or not i was there to get my cdl and get to the money and that's just what i did ..crst is the ####!!!!!! and as far as the place being filthy what did you expect .i thought the place was ok .and if you did'nt like it they would put you up in a motel you can't beat that ...
P.S my head is still spinning on how fast this happened Im a truck Driver -
I'm curious as to what you've found online about the trainers. I'll be honest, i'm a PTI instructor at Kirkwood , the school where CRST students go in CR IA. I do not work for CRST , I work for the college so I have no bias either way when it comes to decisions about crst. FYI I am also a 21 year OTR driving veteran with over 2 million accident free miles. But don't take my word for it, ask anyone that has been through my class and they'll tell you that I don't blow smoke, I tell it like it is, whether it hurts or not.

Hey guys i have not posted in a while. Wanted to let you guys and gals know that even though i did walk out of CRST. I have not gotten any bills from them. Even though i was expecting a bill to come in by mail, since i did finish the cdl course. I did get a couple calls after i left CRST. They warned me that they COULD send me bills. But that was about 7 months ago. So i thought maybe they got collections on me, but after checking my credit history and for any collections, i found nothing...dont know what to make of it..but anyways i'm glad i quit. In the car hauling business now as an O/O and lovin' it!

Ask the guys at kirkwood about coupling Oh thats right they will not cover that....Please this company training program is a joke the pay is trash then they want you too pay for the hours spent on the greyhound, your meals and 1k for staying in a room with 3 other people. If you wanna get a cdl then DONT go through them...and I hope you like the Kirkwood bus.

You and JJ know what your doing you put people on the road who are not ready then when they eventually choke you send them out. A school by definition teaches, you people dont teach you observe and hand in your paperwork!
