I have been looking at the trailer rental options,it does provide a lot more opportunity on the load boards.
The cement and fly ash loads pay around $3.00 to $4.00 per mile so I will stay with that for the concrete season, plus I'm home every night. -
Take the plunge and spend 70k on a new trailer and don't look back
-
Not sure where your at but there are pnumatics of any kind you want here in Texas from 30 year old recon trailers to 2 year old trailers. I'm in a similar deal renting a trailer from the company I leased on with.

That's a lot of money to spend renting what you can buy cheaper. My payment on a brand new great dane flat is 525.
truckon Thanks this. -
Its like saying you pay too much for your apartment, buying a house will be cheaper for you. Not everybody can buy a house right away

Then just possibly, they aren't ready to be a full fledged have your own authority owner operator. Not having the funds to purchase a trailer when opening up a trucking business is like opening up a seafood restaurant but not having the funds to buy a grill and oven.truckon Thanks this.

Trust me, there are plenty of people who rent a trailer for few months and then buy their own, its much smarter decision then spend 15-30k right away when opening a new authority. If something does not work out you just give the trailer back and thats itCanadianVaquero Thanks this.
