It unfolds with me figuring out how to ignore allycatt2!!! Hooray for the site FAQ!

Now, back to debating and arguing with people who know what they are talking about and don't need certain parts of their anatomy surgically removed from other parts!

LOL!!!!! :biggrin_2559: It is all good. I guess no matter what...people will always have something negative to say.....

All I know is, I am ready to get on the road. I called Prime today and finally after 2 days of leaving voicemails and emails... I got ahold of my recruiter. Had to go thru 2 other people to get her, however, nothing on my application was done. I applied last week. So she tells me she will process everything that she can today.... and give me a call at a later date. Hmmmmmm:biggrin_25523: Needless to say, I hope its all worth the wait :biggrin_25511:

Ha, Give me the first initial of your recruiter.. I bet it is either a C, K, depending on the proper spelling of her name or an R, Making it someone else totally. Thanks. TD.

Alright everyone. I've finally come around. I know this will surprise some of you since I've talked up Prime so much in the past. But Prime really does blow. Here's my story....

During the crappy economy, Prime decided to give me a job when nobody else would. Little did I know, I would go through some of the best training in the industry with a trainer I still talk to every week on the phone. I reluctantly agreed to receive some of the highest training pay in the industry. This should have warned me about what I was getting myself into.

Once going solo as a company driver, I was forced to take a slightly used Freightliner Century. Did you read that? Slightly used. I mean WTF? I then began receiving my promised starting pay per mile which was above the industry average. Try to distract me with above average pay, huh? I'm not buyin' it.

After driving higher than average miles on my truck (can I get a LITTLE bit of downtime please?), I began to experience some major problems with it. So in turn, I was forced to move all my crap from my truck to another truck to avoid downtime. Crap. I was enjoying my breakdown pay and sitting in my paid motel room. Very crafty Prime. Very crafty.

Once I reluctantly went back on the road, I continued to be treated on a first name basis, which really sucked because I wanted to just be a number. For some reason, the payroll department has continued to pay me on time, every time, with no mistakes, and have also given me my promised pay raises. This company just will not give me an excuse to yell at anyone. What a bunch of jerks.

To top it all off, I get home when I ask, on the day I ask. I even just took a 34hr restart at home which did not count against my hometime. It also seems they force me by the house every couple of weeks so I can get some laundry done and go out for dinner with friends / family from time to time. Don't they know I like being away from home? That's a blatant disrespect for my feelings.

During this whole ordeal, I have been told time and time again to drive safely and legally. My truck has been maintained with any mechanical issues corrected immediately. They also supply some of the best trailers on the road. How am I supposed to damage their equipment without them noticing? Seems like keeping such nice equipment around is a trap to me.

My dispatcher keeps open communication with me and is extremely friendly. Talk about being passive aggressive.

I recently found out that this company is actually making profits and is very financially sound. A company making profits? What's that all about?

One of these days I'll get out of this "jacked up" company. I can't wait until I can find a company that pays me below industry average, gives me poor equipment to drive, screws up my paychecks, gives me low miles, and is in financial trouble. I just need to put in my time here first.

....No but seriously. I have to maintain 6.75mpg and arrive places on time. Stay away from Prime. Stay far, far away.

Am I off the cheerleader list now?

It's not old material to me. I just got here. I admire the company loyalty guys, but I prefer to hear the good (testimonials) and the bad (dissent). Please let's be civil here. The guy's original post was not even a slight against Prime drivers and I think the backlash was way overboard.

Including outright lies and half truths? Don't worry, no matter what any of us current happy drivers say, there will be plenty of that around here for you to read. You have to forgive us for getting irritated from time to time. We just so happen to be proud of who we work for and constantly have to correct misinformation around here, at the expense of being called recruiters, cheerleaders, and reading useless comments like yours.

I disagree. I feel all opinions are needed. Let the thinking individual sort it out for himself after that.
