Huh? Don't know what you're talking about man. I don't recruit, or take any sort of renumeration for people going to Prime. End of story on that.
I guess you didn't read the latest gossip to hit the forum....Lets hear advice from people who never worked for Prime, let alone never been in Trucking..... I mean where do these people come from? I'm starting to believe that Area 51 had a few escapes over the years, and those "aliens" had spawn. Yikes!
I certainly do not want to 'hear' people getting defensive and name-calling someone who differs with them. As I stated previously, let the individual sort it out for himself. Anyone with a CDL has to be at least twenty-one and should not need anyone to hold his or her hand.
I am still considering Prime despite the negative posts from the Pro and Anti Prime posters. In the end, I am going to go somewhere. I got this shiny new CDL and I do need a job so we'll see.
I like the fact you are not allowing the naysayers to distract you either from making a decision that is just about you and only you. Not all companies are going to be great, and I firmly believe what "you" put into it, "you" get out of it. As far as me, I am going with Prime. Start August 3rd. I am going in confident yet keeping my head on a swivel. Have a lot to learn and going to apply myself to the best of my ability. Get R Done is what I say.
I will second that!!!! I got my CDL today and am off to orientation with Prime on the 30th unless they move it up. But I have done some research and Prime seems to be a good company, no company is perfect then again no human is perfect ( except 1 see below ) anyway I believe they willl give you the tools to succeed and your success is entirely up to you. If you do not make it maybe that individual needs to take a look in the mirror and ask themselves what they may have done wrong not the company. Then perhaps the next company they go to things will turn out better. IMHO!!!!
Yeah I agree. No human is perfect and def no company is perfect. I think you'll do fine. I wish you the best of luck in Orientation. I am going to their training program first to obtain my CDL. Since you already have yours, are you a class "C" Driver? I think thats what their website states. Anyways, best of luck to you, and who knows, we might meet up on the road. God Bless.
I know HOS in a day is 14 hours. 11 drive and 3 sitting, loading, etc...with 10 hour downtime before allowed to drive again..... I know no more than 70 hours in 8 consective days without a 34 hour reset. Now, I have read that you can avoid the reset if you are effecient in your logging and maintaining the appropriate HOS.....Just curious... whats the best way to do that. Just wanted a know how before I went to Orientation. Thanks guys.
