Ya, I was 1 of the 3 to switch over 1.5 or so years ago. They told me they hadn't had to hire from within the company since then because they were getting enough experienced flatbedders and/or OOs applying to fill any gaps. For some reason, they don't seem to try to grow the flatbed division, but keep it as it is for the most part.

Lol oh I love this job. I finally got my truck out of the shop today and they found me a van load going out of Helena that I could drop in salt lake. So I got to Helena and noticed the glad hand lock and the red tag on the trailer I'm picking up. It has 1 cammed over brake, 4 broken crossmembers from a tire blowout, somebody slammed a dock hard enough to bend the frame under the doors to where the passenger side door will not seal, and for the cherry on top a spring hanger is about to fall off.
Also it has a 4 foot kingpin so if I want to pull this catastrophe they will have to move my 5th wheel back about ten inches so it will clear the headache rack.
So here I sit in Helena broke down again. Lol just have to keep reminding myself that this is my last van load. -
Wow lol, that sucks.
I thank the lord every time i am able to grab one of the "new" trailers. -
Ok quick update, finally made it to salt lake and got rid of the van and hooked to my flatbed. It looks like it is in fantastic shape, tires and brakes are all at least 70% and all the lights work. It has 3 toolboxes on it which will come in really handy. The tarps looked like they had been folded up in high wind as they were huge. So I unrolled and redid them so that they fit into the tool boxes. All the straps had just been thrown in loose so I rolled all of them up and got the boxes looking neat and organized.
Now I am going home until Monday, it is my moms birthday Friday so I decided to take a few days off and see the family.
Sorry this thread is taking off to a slow start, it taking a bit longer than expected to get rolling than I thought it would. So by next week I should finally be on my first flatbed load -
keep us updated.

Ok finally on my first load, loading went pretty fast. I had it loaded and secured in about 1 1/2 hours. I made it to Tooele, Ut. And pulled off to check my straps and found I now have no trailer brakes. This trailer sat for a long time in salt lake so I'm sure it has some moisture in the air system that is icing up. So I'm here at the t/a in Tooele waiting to get in the shop. Still trying to get my phone to post photos on here but haven't figured it out yet, it keeps saying upload failed.

Thanks for the updates.....
As far as photos, I "think" you need to host them elsewhere(photobucket) then link to here.....
If I am wrong, somebody is sure to correct me quickly.... LOL
Milktanker Thanks this. -
Ok I'll have to try that, I know I've posted them straight from my phone on another thread. I just tried it again and it will let me post all my scenery shots but nothing of the truck for some reason. I'll keep working at it tonight.
Right now I am in Dixon Ca. Waiting for a guy to show up to unload a load of guardrails. I'm out of hours so I'm sleeping here tonight then tomorrow my dispatcher has already set me up with a three stop load going to Spokane wa. Then somewhere in Idaho, then finishing back in Missoula which is good because I need some more strap protectors and I really didn't want to shell out 5 bucks a shot at the truck stop.
Pulled over donner pass today, it was a beautiful drive, it's been a long time since I've been over I-80.Attached Files:

Get what you need and get a total and call for a Tcheck. There is never a problem when calling for items needed.
Milktanker Thanks this.
