Got a brand new wet of chains if you want to buy them. Complete Washington legal and used a single rail pair for about 2 miles on Stevens. If you have a load to Kaiser in Chicago, pull in their yd, then go to bed, get all the rest you need as it is about 100 acres and no one will bother you. I had a Trailmobile Eagle with 10 ft spread and tool boxes b/n tandems. It had Apithong strips to nail to and was very smooth. I went to Dallas Pete and bought off the lot, the one that had been there the longest. It had 40000 lb Rockwell Tandems and a 15 over. Need long legs to run from Lincoln NE to SEA and back as its good speed limit out that way. Keep your stick on the ice.

Try to get in good with dispatch and request all the long loads. They pay more as you don't sit and wait, spend time tarping and you are always moving. I ran an average of 130,000 miles/yr there. Seattle to Miami is not good, but to Birmingham is. You'll learn.

It's been slow going this trip, I got my load picked up in ellenburg wa. Monday morning then pulled it back to Missoula to have 2 tires changed a couple more light fixed, (that's 6 lights on this trailer so far so a few more and ill have all new lol) and had my quarter fender reatached as this trip it tried to fall off on me.
The shop was fast and had me out by 13:00 yesterday and I made it to billings and shut down for the night as the roads east of there were a mess.
Woke up this morning and found I-90 across South Dakota was closed so I hung out in billings until around 10 and took off. Made it to rapid city South Dakota tonight and finally found a spot to squeeze into. Roads are still shut down east of me so I will sleep here tonight and pull the rest of the way into Minnesota tomorrow.
So it's going to be a 1500 mile week this week but oh well, that's the way it goes sometimes.snowmojim Thanks this. -
Finally got that load of bailing twine offloaded in albert lea mn. All my straps and tarps were frozen solid. I went through a bunch of freezing rain last night.
Originally I was going to deadhead to Dubuque Ia. And pick up a load of skid steers from John Deere, but that load cancelled at the last minute so they found me a broker load of 3 concrete mixer barrels that go on the back of cement trucks going to Denver. Pretty easy load, at least it's finally stopped snowing here.jomar68 Thanks this. -
Sitting about thirty miles outside of Denver now, just waiting to deliver first thing in the morning. Hopefully I'll get a load right out, that storm made it a slow week miles wise.
Here are my two most recent loads, the bailing twine to Minnesota then the concrete mixer barrels going to Denver. It actually let me post them here this time.
On another note I saw the Oscar Meier wiener mobile going east on I-76 through Colorado today, had to do a double take when I saw thatLostOne9 Thanks this. -
Oh almost forgot, I have one black wheel on my truck because I blew a tire in South Dakota and the kid installing it put the outside wheel on first and put my inner on the outside then took off before I saw it.
for now they put a brand new steer tire on so I will have to get back to Missoula or Helena shortly to have a drive tire put on and the purty wheel put back on the outside.

It has been a long week so far. After I dropped the mixer barrels in Denver they had me pick up a giant engine from cummins in Denver going to Salt Lake City. Right after I got the assignment it started snowing hard, by the time I made it to cummins it was a full scale blizzard. Got the engine chained down and headed out of town. Traffic was at a crawl all the way to Loveland Co. Before it opened up a bit. I made it to Laramie Wy. Before I ran out of hours and shut down for the night. When I got up in the morning I found that I-80 was shut down. So I ended up taking a 34 hr reset in Laramie.
I-80 opened up Tuesday morning just long enough to make it through to salt lake and get the delivery done.
Was told no loads for Tuesday or Wednesday so I went home for a day and took another day off. Finally got a load today of insulation foam going to Yakima Wa. That doesn't have a delivery date until Monday but I'm hoping to get it off tomorrow and get reloaded. This weather is killing my miles these past couple weeks.
Pictures won't load, I will put them on my photobucket account later tonight. -
Ok so it's been a very busy week so far, I don't know why but when I made my last post I thought it was Thursday for some reason. After I got loaded I realized it was Friday so I took one more day off at home before heading up to Yakima. I made my delivery first thing Monday morning and immediately had another load that picked up in Kent Washington, a couple hours west. They couldn't start loading until after 13:00 Monday so I took my time getting over the hill and got there about 15 min early. Upon arrival I learned that there were 4 other trucks waiting to be loaded in front of me. The girl behind the desk told me that they were short handed so it was going to be awhile. I ended up getting loaded and tarped by about 19:00 my time and luckily they have no problem with overnight parking on the street at this plant so I took a 10 hr break right there.
The next day I drove to Missoula and had a drive tire replaced plus a couple of little problems fixed. The next day I drove to rapid city SD. From rapid city I made it to St. Joseph MO. Which is where I'm at right now. I am going to be getting offloaded to late to pick up anything tomorrow, but luckily the dispatcher found a load for me that I can pick up from John Deere in Davenport Ia Saturday morning preloaded on a different trailer for me. This next load is going to go straight back to Washington.
So this is going to be a 3500 mile week and next week is already shaping up nicely.
I will try to get a photo of the spools of cable I have on now tomorrow after I untarp and get some pics of the John Deere load Saturday. Until then, safe travels -
Ok, I need to update this more often. Here's what has happened so far this week.
The John Deere load went smoothly, the preloaded trailer is the one I dropped here last time so I have my third toolbox back. The load had two drops in North Dakota which I delivered on Tuesday, then two more in Washington final stop in Ellensburg which I delivered yesterday around 13:00. Unfortunately they didn't have a load for me yesterday but found one today from kent Wa. Going to Atlanta area, so it's going to be a very busy week.
jomar68 Thanks this. -
Well I broke down in Missoula again. My transmission decided this was a good time to give out. I managed to limp it in to the shop. So here I sit
