Seems like a whole lot of math for a small payback ...

I don't intend to do any of that if I have a frame mounted apu. Heck I don't even bother with the small amount of gasoline for my Honda

In 2015 I deducted about $900 in gasoline for the generator.

I have heard of other guys buying small amounts of gas for their cars at home and claiming the receipts for generator fuel too. So it won't be long before IRS comes sniffing around for these rednex solutions lol

With regards to CO emissions, there is a huge difference in the emissions from ANY diesel burning engine as opposed to one burning gasoline. The amount and type of CO from a diesel is far different that that of a gasoline generator. Why do you think they only run diesel or propane inside buildings, it has to due with the CO emissions.

To each their own but personally I have slept above weed burner exhausts for almost 20 years but I wouldn't sleep for one second with a gas burning anything within 50' of my sleeper unless it has a stack getting the CO up and over the highest part of the truck/trailer.

As a matter of fact I have because I own a 2000 and a 3000, has absolutely nothing to do with the sound, I slept in front of screaming ThermoKing SB1's for years hauling produce. My concern is the amount and deadly consequences of the carbon monoxide put out by any engine burning gasoline.

I've been using my generator set up quite a lot. The system works well. I've gotten faster and efficient at setting up the a/c and window venting.

There is absolutely no issue with CO emissions. The unit runs very quiet. I figure it uses about 2.6 gallons of gas in 10 hours. The generator runs the a/c unit easily on eco-mode.

What I found useful is to plug my oscillating fan in and let it push the air from the unit into my bunk area.

Dealing with gas was a hassle at first, however, I have found a couple of places on my route where gas is available on the same islands as diesel. It's very easy to top off the 3.5 gallon tank and to keep my 2.5 gallon can topped off.

All in all I'm happy with the set-up, excuse me while I throw a quilt over me, I'm freezing my arse off ;-)

I have a new Honda 3000is . It stalls whenever I make a turn that shifts fuel away from the control panel. I wonder if baffle sponges would stop this. It does this even when the tank is full to the brim so I find it hard to believe I'm on the right track. Thoughts?
