I passed my CDL test yesterday! Im going to be leaving for Covenant orientation tomorrow.
I have all my endorsements and don't plan on retiring with covenant but from what I understand they are a decent starter company. My long-term goal is to get into fuel hauling locally. I consider myself very lucky for the opportunity to learn this trade.
Any advice, comments or wisdom from experienced drivers is welcome!
Question does anyone here or anyone know of a driver who works for Williams tank liners? There one the the companies I want to drive tank for. I would like to know what they pay and any pros or cons.
God bless, stay safe

Your excitement is refreshing. As I'm sure you know, there will be days when your excitement about getting on the road will be tested. Ya gotta be mentally tough to survive in this line of work, but you don't have to become angry and cynical. Keep your spirits up, and just tough out the hard days.

You want to haul fuel, eventually. Then the first priority once you've earned your stripes and got some safe miles under your belt with Covenant is to get tanker and hazmat endorsements. Some fuel haulers will take rookies, some won't. Fuel hauling is a great business. And it's totally different to what you'll be doing with Covenant. Good luck
