Better than getting a truck with a rustoleum rebuild.

It has sank in, and I am learning alot from you guys just by reading everything you all have said. Some things I say jokingly and some are serious. From what I have read I've gained more than you will know but I understand I still have ALOT more to learn about flatbedding for sure, its no over-nite learn process and nevr thought it was. I also understand that it takes years of learning and still may not learn everything before I drop the keys on the counter for good. Please trust me that I understand the learning curve for sure!!

Man king pins are a real pain. I might let a good frame and suspension shop do those. Last time i did them i heated and pressed and beat on them for two days. When it finally let loose it almost took my #### head off when that pin shot out.

I agree on that. Also, sometimes if your axle beam is wore enough and it's beyond tolerance specs, it might need machined and sleeved for the new king pins to be right and last, not to mentioned getting a good alignment.

King pins are one of the few things I'll take my truck in to get done. Lasers and special presses for bushings are to expensive to own unless you have a bunch of trucks or do a ton of side work with them. Just my opinion.

If you don't have a press you can chain the axle to the floor and use a 20 ton bottle jack. It works.

But its just not worth it. Not when a good shop will do them for 800 to 1200 bucks.

Yeah, a shop will do the kingpins then it will go in for a 3 axle alignment.
