I am still at home "thinking". Will have an answer on Monday 12/28.

I came down to CA for a couple weeks to spend some time with my daughter and the kids. Her husband got deployed in a hurry right before Thanksgiving. He got 10 days notice to leave. He will be gone till March.

Hey guys, I'm back. I've been busy and forgot my password for a while :/ anyway, orientation at the Dallas OC went pretty well for the most part. Then I did some account specific training back in Denver. Currently I'm at the Salt Lake OC for the night.

When I drove in on I-80 Tuesday morning, it was all good until the Utah/Wyoming border, then it was pretty slick and slow going.

I was supposed to leave in a new tractor after taking my ten, but that got pushed back so I could help someone else catch up on his deliveries that weren't completed the day before. So hopefully I can get out of here and back home around noon or so today, and the roads won't be too bad.

Well, with great disappointment I have decided to leave SNI. It was a good 18 month run. I learned a great deal everyday on the road. Worked with some great people. I will miss the friends I have made. I also had a couple really good DBL's.

However, it came down to respect for me.
What...respect. Does SNI respects its drivers? Up until about November, I thought the Portland OC did a really good job with that.

I came to work everyday. Drove safely. Did my job without having someone looking over my shoulder everyday.

In the end, when I brought my concerns to about my DBL to the DM and how she wanted to impose "her" rules on the drivers, I did not get much support. Which was disappointing. Granted they can run their business anyway they want. I have the choice to follow those rules or move on.

While I do not have another job lined up, it should not be long before I figure what I want to do.

    Stay safe my friends.

I have moved to a part time status working as a mentor when I return and will see how everything works out after the move to Phoenix. All the DBL's that were in Fontana are leaving I think by the end of January.

Right now I'm off until the 25th of January and enjoying my time off. Taking a cruise tomorrow until the 19th.

Hate to see you go but know that the information you shared on this blog has helped out a number of other drivers.

Stay safe and let me know if you need anything....you have my number!
