Good luck and I hope all your wildest dreams and wishes come true. You are a true class act and for SNI to lose you would be a tragedy. Roehl made that mistake and they must regret it deeply. Hopefully SNI will be smarter than Roehl and understand that drivers like you are so very rare and don't come along very often. Be safe and embrace each breath and cherish each exhale.

Grc, we are all pulling for you and keeping you in our prayers. I am sure that SNI will do well by you. As soon as your doctors release you I hope you are cleared by SNI to get you back to driving asap.

OK i'm ALMOST officially a pumpkin, Finished orientation in charlotte N.C., and am now in my second week with my trainer. Will finish this week with him and then back to charlotte to test out and then hopefully keys to my truck! Orientation was stressfull and now their cramming two weeks of work in you in a week, so anyone going to orientation that is just out of CDL school word to the wise, "mouthes shut, ears open and study study study" because if they feel for any reason that you could possibly be unsafe in anyway, enjoy your bus ride home.

Thank goodness you went Pumpkin, instead of Werner !!!!!!!

When the Schneider website says est annual salary for a dedicated run is 39-51K, how realistic is it?
-
well i just finished orientation up in green bay yesterday, and i will start with my trainer on a walmart account out of olney, IL the pay for the job was kind of along those lines and from what i heard its pretty realistic to make that much, on top of your mileage pay they have lots of extra pay that goes in like stop pay, unload pay etc. etc. just depends on what account you get to determine the extras. but i REALLY like the company so far. the training was intense and i learned A LOT compared to what i learned from CDL school.

I am on tract to go with Roehl, because I don't have my CDL...but, the more I read...it would be nice to be home more often, but I have no experince and no CDL, YET.
And 39-51K is more than Roehl, I believe. -
Check in with some of the local CDL schools, i know in illinois if your on unemployment you qualify to have it paid for by the state which was what i did. and despite the fact that i didnt learn much from school except to pass the CDL test i did get my liscense. and Schneider was real good about understanding you dont learn much but the basics from those schools. they will teach you whatever you dont learn, but if you can control the truck and gears they will help you with the rest. Orientation was one week for SNI and you learn ALOT. so good luck and keep us informed. ill fill you in as i go along if you have any questions.

Maybe start for Roehl, see how it goes with hometime/pay, transfer after I have the CDL and experience I suppose.
It just sucks because SNI has an opening right by my house, but require 6 months exp. With Roehl I can finance the cost of the CDL school. We'll see. -
Well I'm in Edwardsville just about ready to start orientation. After which I join hubby who is already with SNI to team.
difference-maker and mycorky Thank this.
