bigcove, Thankyou for the kind words, it's appreciated more than you'll ever know. Ya just keep doin' what ya' have to.
You're comparing Werner and SNI in the right light, IMHO. I wish I could remember when you'd get a raise. I know guys like myself haven't gotten an increase at all since I've been there. That .30 with Roehl, is that before any sort of bonus?![]()

It is w/.10 per diem....or .32/mile premium pay....this is in the refer division which is the division I would prefer given the choice. I know Schnieder has no refers, and that is okay, the transition should have a an easy learning curve from dry van if I ever decided I needed to go elsewhere. At SNI, I asked about when I might see a pay increase and was told the pay is frozen indefinately. As long as the miles are there, I can make due for a year with that. Hopefully the economy will recover going into the third quarter enough to liberate some pay roll monies and that freeze would disappear.

You must be an experienced driver then with 6 months? I'm trying to remember, but it seemed like it was in March, that the guys on the low end got a raise, but we didn't. Just seems like I remember that. .26/ml is pretty low.

I just passed my CDL yesterday morning. I don't have any expereince. I am only going by what Sandy told me. Possibly she has old information, I don't know for sure. I am hoping to find some pumpkin drivers stopped this weekend so I can get some more info. Roehl also if I can find them.

JD >>I got your PM. I don't have enough posts to PM yet. I had found the sight you refered me too about a week ago. I have been wearing that one and this one out. Thanks for your thoughtfulness.

Don't worry about the credit report. Mine sucks and they pre-hired me.

Thanks GWD!!Is your husband still happy with SNI? After checking out Pumpkindriver website, I am a little more comfortable with only having 7 - 10 days with a trainer as opposed to Evo I & II with Roehl. Just to know I have secured orientation date with someone gives relief to know that I have somewhere to go.Last edited: Apr 23, 2010

You're very welcome, and welcome to the big orange. Hope everything works out well for you.

Your welcome, good luck. Hubby has been struggling with getting miles but I'm hoping things will work out. The communication between him and dispatch is good which is a big plus. I unfortunately have to sit by until Sept because my heart rate was over the limit so I went to the Dr who prescribed a med to manage that along with my BP medicine so I'm jealous of everyone who is getting going. (Just kidding I'm just anxious) I think you will do well with Schneider. The background check doesn't take long and then you will have a phone interview. You could always call to check on things. Sometimes they get busy or such and it shows you are really interested in them. Good luck

From what my research has found, I was thinking Schnieder was providing more miles than Roehl. Did I evaluate that wrong? That is one of the reasons I was looking into SNI. I was seeing that even though the starting pay is less at SNI, I would still get more miles there than I would at Roehl.
I know it is on an individual basis as well, depending on factors with the driver and his freight manager no matter which company one is driving for. SNI did tel me there is a guaranteed minimum of 2000 miles per week. Of course that is from a recruiter and I am not exactly sure how it is guaranteed or recourse of action if that is not met. I also know that part of orientation is to straighten out the "facts" that a recruiter has told a prospective driver. Hopefully they are shooting straight with me, but it is not my first time around the block - just my first time around this specific block.
