in post #60 what are those suspension travel limiters? also just an idea i see you running the factory rear peterbilt front rear frame hangers if you were to swap to a freightliner style hanger which would still use the same 1.25" pin, the hanger itself is not as long as the peterbilt stlye you might get anoother 2" out of front travel. Also in post #64 what you grind down the heads of them bolts for? They supporting anything? You plan on adding a catwalk to the ###### lol shes looking good i wish i could get some of that metal work done on my RIG...can i come over i'll bring a 48 lol.
also awesome deal on deleting everything from the top of the roof. I was planning on doing the same thing but want to swap out my visor for a blindmount making progress bro.
Thanks, come on over and bring the beer! :smt023 Those are brackets that I made. I'm going to mount the front fender brackets to them and give the front of the fenders additional support over the standard suspension hanger fender brackets. That's the plan anyways. Thank you for the idea of changing out the hangers, I did not know that. I'm hoping the additional weight of the truck when its full with fuel and has the steel deck plate on it will drop the front of the truck another inch or so. I really need to figure out how to lower the rear. I have a few ideas and will start on the rear tomorrow. The frame is really raked, too raked. There was a crossmember there that I took out. I'm trying to clean up the outside of the frame rails so they look nicer when its all painted. I'm not going to work the truck so I figured removing that crossmember wouldnt really be a problem. As far as the flat roof goes, I'm trying to build the truck as low and as clean as I can so I figured no lights would be the way to go. I didnt like flat tops when I first saw them many years ago, but I like them now.
