You'll be fine. Just give 110% and you will have no issues with it. There were a few larger sized guys in my class and they did well. Turned out to be more mental than anything for them.

Like jxu said, you well be fine. The hardest part for you might be getting on the box. They will provide 2 rolled up tarps to use to boost yourself up so you don't have to jump/lift yourself as high.
We had one fairly big guy, I'd say he was easily in the 300lb range and he managed to do just fine.
You're height gives you a good advantage though. I'm only 5'5" so I need a ladder to reach almost everythingCowboy13 Thanks this. -
Thanks you two! This just has to work cuz once I quit who I'm with and then if Mav dnt workout by god ill be one screwed sob
jxu417 and Razororange Thank this. -
How tall is that box on the trailer??
-
Like 5 feet I think. The two rolled tarps you can use as steps will shorten it down to around 3.5-4' tho for ya.
Cowboy13 Thanks this. -

Ok, so time for an update. I left my laptop at home last time I left so I have only been able to use my phone and it was having issues. I will never do that again. It made for a very long and boring 2 weeks without it.
My load to deliver in Wausau, WI after my last TAH got rejected. I messed up in loading it and 2 stoces of glass slid forward and were resting against the stoces on the front of the trailer. Nothing was broken, but the customer couldn't unload it. There was no way to get their slings in between the glass. I then had to secure and tarp the load again. I drove back home Monday night and stayed at the house. Tuesday I drove back to Carleton, MI where I dropped the loaded trailer. They were going to see if there was any way to save the glass on the trailer. If they couldn't find a way to unload it safely the only other option was to push it off and let it shatter on the ground so they could melt it down and remake it. Maverick would be responsible for the cost of that glass so they were willing to do just about anything to unload it. I never heard what happened either way.
After delivering that load to Carleton I picked up a load on a step deck there and went to Geneva, NY. It was a mess of a load with racks in the front and back and a set of A-Frames in the middle. The easiest way to tarp is was to just wrestle both lumber tarps onto the load and use every bungie I had to keep them from becoming too big of a balloon. Took me 5 hours to secure and tarp the load.
Once at Geneva, NY I dropped that trailer, took my tarps and straps, and bobtailed to Walmart for the night. I did a little bit of shopping and went to bed. I went back the next morning to pick up a load at the Geneva glass plant. It was a preloaded DGL with 11 96x130 stoces on it. This was similar to the load I picked up in Carleton going to Wausau. You can bet I did it right this time. Got it secured and tarped in about 90 minutes. This load was going to a tempering plant in Utica, OH.
After leaving Geneva I drove straight through to Mount Vernon, OH. I spent the night at the Walmart there. There's signs saying no overnight RV/Truck parking but they don't really care. There was about 20 trucks there when I pulled in. I left the next morning and drove about an hour to the shipper. When I got there they had me drive forward into the building then make a hard right followed by a quick left. I then had to back even further into the plant to get under the crane. After finally getting unloaded I then Deadheaded about 350 miles to Carlisle, PA.
Saturday morning I picked up a load at PPG in Carlisle. They gave everybody 8AM appointments. I was the 7th truck to check in. They were able to get 5 trucks inside at a time though so it wasn't to bad. Only had to wait 4 hours to get loaded. Took about 3 hours to load and tarp everything. Once I left I got on I-81 and drove to Wytheville, VA. I had less than 30 minutes left on my clock when I parked. The next morning I only had 2 hours left on my 70 so I had to do a reset.
It was a pretty boring day on Sunday. I slept until about noon. I spent a few hours going for a walk to the McDonalds on the other side of the Interstate for lunch. When I came back I moved my truck to the back end of the lot and tightened up all the ropes on my tarp. Read a book for a while before finally going to bed around 2100.
Monday morning I started with a fresh 70 and drove to Clanton, AL. Stayed at the loves there. Some how I still had a shower point on my card even though the last time I fueled at a loves was 3 weeks earlier in Oklahoma. Tuesday morning I drove the last hour or so to deliver in Selma, AL. Took about an hour to get my tarp pulled back and all the securements off the load. While unloading the customer broke 2 sheets of glass.
After unloading in Selma they had me Deadhead to Laurinburg, NC. It took me just over a day to drive there. Only drove 2 hours on Wednesday. I finally got to meet my FM. I spent a little while just wandering around the yard looking at some of the old converter trailers. I'm so glad we don't use those any more. They look like way too much work to open and close.
I finally got loaded at Pilkington Glass across the street on Thursday morning. It took about 4 hours to load and tarp it all. I then hit the road and drove to the rest area in Rio Grande, OH on US 35. I had about 420 miles in when I stopped.
Today I drove from the rest area across OH to Dayton and then took I-70 to Indy. Hopped on I-65 there and took that up to Gary where I took I-80/294 around Chicago and then I-94 all the way home. Got home at about 1800 today.
Today I got my second paycheck for over $1100 I'm finally starting to make some headway on a bit of my outstanding debt.
Now for 4 days of R&R before hitting the road Wednesday afternoon.raetnrunner, DADof3, Kutina and 1 other person Thank this. -
Glad to see you are doing good and it is starting to come together for you. Enjoy the time off.
Razororange Thanks this.
