Yes they will allow you to go with a trainer for as long as you want even as an experienced driver. You won't be required to go for the minimum of 21 days though.

sarge26044 and Hammerin' Hank Thank this.

I've been around. Just didn't have much interesting to post. Spent 4 days broken down on my way home last Friday. My truck is back to me and I've been sitting since last night waiting for a load at the T/A in Roanoke, VA.

They are trying to get me to a glass plant because the driver who took my last load from me left me a normal flatbed so I have no A-frames to haul open stoces. That driver also robbed me blind. I made the mistake of not being over there while he did the swap. He took 5 4" straps, 1 of my lumber tarps, 2 2" straps, and over 100 of my bungies and didn't leave me any equipment.

I'll probably run until the end of the month now before I go home.

    Kutina Thanks this.

Whoa. This is the exact reason why I never leave any on my work equipment out in the open. Doesn't your company reimburse the supply expense?

He was supposed to leave behind any equipment that was used to secure the load. It is company owned equipment. All the trucks have a minimum number of securement equipment assigned to them. He was just too lazy to figure it out so he left nothing to trade for the pile of stuff he took from me.

They have me deadheading back to the Laurinburg yard now so I'll get all my stuff back from the accessories shop there.

Sorry to hear about all the problems you are having. I wondered if you ran this part of the country. As I live right outside of Roanoke the recruiter told me that there is nothing for me unless I want to stay out 3 weeks at a time. But I see a lot of Maverick trucks around here. I guess it is hit and miss in this area. Hope things get better for you.

Razororange, at least you learned that day to never trust your fellow employees no matter how good the company is.
