FYI never get in an accident in Ohio. I've been getting constant phone calls now offering me free medical care and auto body services. The only people I gave my phone number to was Columbus PD. This #### is getting really annoying.

As much as I hate these early morning unloads, I am glad I got one while in Texas. Its 80° out and not even 8 am yet.
Also glad I have the epu on the truck to provide A/C while waiting to unload.Blind Dog Thanks this. -
To any Maverick drivers that may be able to give me some advice: Lately I have been so pumped up and excited to get the chance to drive for Maverick and to get an invitation to training. But now I am feeling very discouraged and I feel like the wind was let out of my sails. I was awaiting the phone call from the Human Resources dept about a couple of medications that I take. The one they said is ok with the doctors note but the other they said is not allowed by the dot. I have a meeting with my doctor on wed and I am going to ask him to get me off the one medication asap. And the other one that is ok I will get a note stating as to why I am taking it and that it will not affect my ability to drive safely. Also in the past 3 or 4 months I took one or two of my wife's percosets which she had for her colitis pains that she gets once in a while. The reason I took them on those two occasions was because I had a couple of terrible stress headaches that I couldn't get rid of. I wasn't even thinking about driving when I took them a while back, but now I am kicking myself. From now on if I get the occasional headache like that I will tough it out or take normal over the counter asprin or Tylenol. I informed the HR girl of all of this info because I believe in being honest and straight forward and I didn't want to have any doubts in my mind about passing the test once I get out there. I asked Human Resources if these facts would disqualify me from ever being employed with Maverick and she wouldn't give me an answer yes or no. I have been wanting to drive truck since I was a kid and I still want the chance if possible. I will never take my wife's medicine again and I will get completely off of the other prescription. I was just wondering if any of you guys could give me any advice or encouragement on this topic?? I also just want to let you guys know that I am a Christian and I have a wife and kids that support my career change and I believe that it is Gods plan for my life to drive truck. I just want to put it all out there for help with my dilemma. I am willing to do anything to get the opportunity to get a shot with Maverick. If Maverick will still give me a shot, I plan on waiting 90 days and getting a hair follicle test through my own doctor before I go. I will even get a copy of it faxed to Maveick first if they want to see it. I would appreciate any advice or input on all of this?

Those percosets were out of your system and gone 3 days after you took them...maybe even sooner...that is for a pee test anyway...hair test may be different.

Thank You for the advice. I'm definately not giving up on my dream of driving. Just a minor setback. I'll do what I need to to be ready when the time comes for my chance. Gods just telling me to wait a little longer, that's all. Thanks again!
