I'm going to do some side jobs for people I know around home for a while, I might go back to school for something or might try to find a local job when I turn 23 in October.
I've already got some work lined up for this week helping out a contractor. I know a guy who flips houses. I used to do some work for him when I was in High School so I'm kinda going back to what I was doing before I started Driving. It doesn't pay nearly as well as driving did, but it's worth it to be home now. -
Good for you man..... Always have a backup plan in this world best of luck

I have enough saved for 2-3 months of bills as well as plenty of job options.
If I had to I could call Schneider and go back to work for them within a week or two. I would rather not do that though. -
i received the message today that the accident I had in Lowell, AR was ruled preventable, even if it wasn't, and I was assigned 2 points. Then, only about an hour later, I received a message to stop where I am in Nashville, that my load going to Baltimore was being repowered, even though I have almost 42 hours to drive the remaining 700 miles.
I asked my FM point blank if I was being fired, and he swears that I'm not, that I'd need way more points for that, but I'm not particularly confident. He said it was being repowered so they could get me home on time. I do have to get home for jury duty on July 30, but that's 8 days away, plenty of time for them to get me back home in time from Baltimore.
So, I guess I'll wait and see what happens. My preplan has me delivering in southern Missouri, which puts me right in path to deadhead to NLR if they've decided they've had enough of me.
Well, at the absolute worst, I've been wanting to go into lease purchase for awhile now, but it would be nice if they'd let me resign so it doesn't wreck my career, if their plan is to let me go. We'll see. -
Must be more to the story. If you got fired due to the accident then perhaps it was avoidable after all? You mentioned some tickets, what were they and how many?
-
We're two different people. Razor got the tickets, mine's just the accident.
And it wasn't preventable. -
Ohhh sorry thought it was the same guy. You didn't get fired did you captain? Just razor for the tickets right? Been surfing on my smartphone and I wasn't watching the names.
-
Not as of yet. Hopefully that's not in their plans but I'll find out soon I'm sure.

That's sux razor good luck man
