I have been in that situation of grass not greener and it was no fun.

One more thing, if you are honestly looking at going over the road and leaving your family at home for weeks on end, having a mortgage, car payments, credit card payments and such, then you are a fool.

My situation is this - no wife, kids, credit card debt or house payment. I have a car payment and my cell phone/internet bill. That's it. I don't need to eek out a living in order to feed my family.

Its ludicrous to think, that as a new driver, you go out and get a job OTR and try to support big financial obligations and be able to put away money.

c'mon! You are usually the calm voice of reason! lol
I have a wife, 4 kids, and am the only bread winner of my family. Do I miss my family? Hellz yes!
Do I consistently make $700-800/wk with a fair amount of $1000+ weeks? Are my bills paid up/paid ahead, like never before? Hellz yes!
1 year in as a driver, $40k no worries. Would I like to make more? Who wouldn't? The other May drivers I closely, personally know are pulling similar $$, ALL from my terminal in P-cola
Which makes me feel that much worse for Platinum's situation... :biggrin_25513:

If you can deal with OTR life and make the money you need to support your family, then thats all that matters to be honest.
