Wow, plat that's really mature,i did feel bad for u at one time, the reason is because I want to produce more one year safe drivers like myself. I'm tired of picking up brand new trailers that look like they've been in a battle field.and I know I have barely any control once they get on their own but with the right keys, they can succeed to being productive safe drivers.

I picked one up at the Lowe's DC OR
took it right to Brooks...showed in service for less than 4 months
Yellow paint all over the driver side skirt, near the huge L gash in the skirt. NO chains (probably lifted at the DC though) the plastic shroud on the reefer was cracked, the screen in the 'trap' door was torn up, ALL 4 top corners were dented in, with one of the upper marker lights broken, and one of the steps on the front corner bent/broken/twisted downwards...

I see where justawheelholderfornowthisyearandhopelfullynext posted that the trainer's pay was increased due to the minimum three week training period requirement.

If I might ask, what is it now? It used to be 02. per mile extra and a $300 bonus after the trainee solo(ed) out which for three weeks equaled $20 a day :)

Its an extra 10 cents a mile now paid after every trip so if u make 35 you're now making 45cpm

and there is not, nor has there ever been a mandatory 3 week training.
What I was told is "2-3 is the exception, not the rule, 4 weeks is the average student expectation"
It almost makes it worthwhile now monetarily!
I really enjoy helping new people out, but man! what they don't learn in school is beyond amazing!!

Great! Do you still get the bonus on top of the extra cpm?

I agree, being a trainer can be very taxing at times. What I found worked for me was taking a break (going solo) for two or three weeks in between trainees.

Did you you hear the joke about the new May drivers who were told by their Dm's to pull over and swap loads?

On second thought, I better not :)

no bonus anymore, straight 10cpm (probably because of all the people who fall off during the training period)

I'm thinking of train, hometime, solo, hometime, train...repeat
