I was told after you send your macro 19 for your current load send your eta and PTA. The few drivers I've spoken to said they find they wait less and get more miles if they are updating PTA.
It's worked for me so far. -
I always send my ETA/PTA right after I get my dispatch on the qualcomm. Get it in the system. Don't wait to get your availability in there. The sooner you get on the list the better chances you have for getting a load. You can always update your ETA/PTA if it changes as you go. Not a big deal.
Sober is right, always update it when you send your macro 19, on time for delivery, the day before you deliver.Civilservant Thanks this. -
So my trainer told me to call or free form, learn new things everyday.

I've been sending it #16 text message.

Projected Time of Availability
sky king Thanks this. -
PTA is your "Projected time of Availability". It's you telling May, hey I am going to be available at this time with this many hours to drive. It gets put into the system and logistics can match your truck with a load in that area easier.
It has three parts - Date/Time Available/Hours left to drive that day. You cannot set your time earlier than 2 hours after your delivery appointment.
Example PTA: 07/23 @ 1700 w/ 8 hours
That is my current PTA I set yesterday as I was getting loaded. If it changes, I will update it when I notice the change.Civilservant Thanks this. -

Week #9
July 20th - July 26th
I immediately got a load out the Burley Americold. The same place that I delivered to this morning, headed to Plover, WI. It delivers on Saturday at 1500. Not a great run, but not that bad either. 1500 miles and 3.5 days. After I got done getting loaded, I made my way up past Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons to I-90 in Montana and got stopped at the Yellowstone Truck Stop in Livingston, MT. I love this place. Good portions and cheap food. Thursday morning I make my way into Billings, MT to fuel the truck and end up in Bismarck , ND for the night. Grabbed a bite at the restuarant there and headed out Friday morning. The next day I take it a bit easy and only get to the TA right inside Wisconsin and call it a night. Saturday, I made my way to the receiver and get unloaded. While waiting, I got a pre-plan that picks up on Monday near Madison and goes to Beaverton, OR near Portland. It delivers on Friday. 2100 miles in 4 days. The only thing that sucks for this one is that I have to sit at the Petro for a day and a half in Portage, WI. Oh well. Things could be worse I guess. This weeks check is low due to the load going to Beaverton delivering on Friday and won't be on this check.
Miles This Week:
Miles Driven: 1525
Miles Paid: 1464
Miles Difference: 61 or 4.0%
Miles Total:

Miles Paid: 17614
