Well, I decided to check my hub temps as I stopped to get fuel. 141-146 degrees on the trailer. The trucks hubs are running at 150 and they don't have MicroBlue bearings yet. WeatherUnderground says the temp outside is 80degrees.
My MicroBlue experience

The usual number for MB fuel economy improvement quoted for two axles with treated bearings is about 3/10's mpg. You'll need to be tracking your numbers quite closely to measure that...

I wonder what this would look like with tractor axles? one micro and one not. Brand new same brand bearings. Then do it a year later. Then 2/3/4 years?
Not disputing your fantastic numbers Dice. I know you have been chasing MPG for a long time. I think it is just real hard to get your head around rigs pulling 70k+ in all kinds of driving conditions getting your huge numbers.
Case in point your Chicago trip you posted some place on this thread. I think your number was 7.3 MPG. Much more difficult driving than you usually do. Those conditions seemed more real world, that most of us experience on daily bases.
Dice I think your operation might be beneficial to getting high MPG. Also you might be a much better MPG driver than most. I need to go to your other thread and see your other info.
It would be great to believe this tech really works. But it is so hard to. Considering how much snake oil has been pushed over the years.
I remember KR pushing the Turbo 3000 so hard, not so many years ago. That was only $300 or so. This is a huge investment.
Many of these older truckers have seen so much junk hawked over the years, it is hard for them to accept. They don't think like this for no reason. This is hard to believe it can really produce these numbers.
Does MVT use this? I am not sure. The owner is a Race guy. IF not, then why?
IF it really works why don't the big fleets use them? or why has not a truck maker not bought into this?
Why??????????????????????? -
My MB'ed steers run about 122, with ambient about 85.
