I'd imagine you could microblue a ham sandwich. Most likely it would cease to be tasty...

The idea as I understand it is if you look at a highly magnified polished metal surface it begins to look less smooth as you zoom in, and downright rough (even though its polished) when very highly magnified.

Microblue is a coating process that changes the metal crystals to include the coating at the molecular level. This provides a hard, very smooth surface that resists wear. The benefit is that a microblue treated bearing or gear face offers less fluid resistance to the oil film it floats in as the surfaces slide past each other. In the case of axle bearings, the truck rolls easier because less energy is dissipated in the oil film. That's also why the bearings will run cooler.

Yes, but only to be worn while snipe hunting. :biggrin_255:

I was interested in the MB bearings for a trailer when I had 19.5 wheels that of course run much warmer than traditional 22.5's.
BUT when I looked at MB's site(granted it has been awhile), it did not seem like there was enough data to justify the cost.
Even they did not seem all that wound up on it vs doing the truck side of components. Will have to go look to see if that has been updated.

You seem confused about our roles, sir. You're the one trying to promote the product, not me.

I'm the critical thinker that rejects claims that aren't backed up with reasonable evidence.

The onus is on the promoter to provide convincing material. That video... isn't.

Edit to add: Here is an example of proof that withstands scrutiny. Notice that all the relevant information is shown. The hours aren't cut out, the dates are intact. It's simple to match up the graphs with the total miles for the days. No creative copypasta to needlessly block out essential elements.

    Look & learn.

Sir, you must have hit your head, at least once. Critical thinker, you mean paranoid schizophrenic. Believe it or not, not everyone is out to get you!
