Well don't feel too bad....iv been running freakin short haul runs all week long....longest run I did this week was from Atlanta to Trenton...all the others were 200-300 mile trips and sit around waiting to be unloaded....so I'm only clearing about 2500-2600 this week myself....kinda sucks seeing how iv been running around 3500+ for awhile now but guess its time to get ready for the shorter weeks that come in winter when were traveling #### more cautiously in theat white stuff (snow & ice)!!! Well be safe everyone!!

Oh you know I love my Falcons! It's about time we played a well rounded game. Worried about facing Detroit this week though!

I was thinking that too - I went back and looked at this time last year (since I write down all my loads and info for each load from the day I started) and last year I was running harder than I have been this same time. So not sure what it is!

Hell even in the snow and Ice I was running 2900 to 3200 a week.

Wow - this week just blows!

Once unloaded in MD sat there (not the best place to sit either) for 2 hrs waiting on a load. Finally get dispatched to Crisfield MD. If you dont know - it's the Southwestern most tip of MD right before you fall off into the ocean. I am thinking - no way there are trucks going there - Well there are and it's listed as a Rubber Co but it's actually Sherman Williams. As I arrived see another Millis truck in the dock. Talked to him for a few and then had to let him run. For once a customer that gets you loaded with in 30 minutes from the time you bump the dock. He pulled out and I backed right in - 30 mins poof I was loaded and rolling. 13LBS of paint rollers going to Terre Haute IN.

Ran all the way back up to the top of MD and ran about half way across 68 before I called it a night. The Pilot at ext 22 was slammed so I ran to exit 14B and found a Mom and Pop T/S with parking. Right off the exit so easy to get too! Decided to grab something hot to eat since it was so cold that evening. Had an awesome ham and grilled cheese sandwich and a bowl of veggie soup. It was wonderful and all that and a drink for 4.95! Now you just cant beat that!

The next morning headed out and ran to hard across 70. Stopped in Columbus and called the customer to see if they could take a day early. Nice people but couldnt move appointment up so ran to the Pilot at ext 23 on 70 and called it a day.

Had been feeling bad all that morning and by the time I stopped I was having chills. So got me a great Nyquil coma and hit the bed at 530PM.

Got up this morning - not feeling too much better but ran over the 10 miles to the customer and made the delivery. Got sent to Effingham for a load going to Douglas GA to WalMart. Thought - Awesome - need to be in Cartersville Thurs morning for the train the trainer class and in Effingham it's drop and hook. Can get there - get my load and get to Cartersville tonight. I need a reset BAD and this will do just that!

That's where all went down hill. Get to the customer and it's easy - drop my mt and go around front to get my loaded trailer! Easy: right? Well not this time.

My 5th wheel lock get suck in the closed position and I cant get it open to hook to the load. Sat there for almost 2 hrs trying to get it to open. Finally send a message to BRF shop and after answering all their (did you try this crap) I got approval to go to the TA and see if they could fix it. I get there and the guys walk out - look at it - hit it with a large crow bar and the dang thing pops open! So off I go back to the customer and get my load.

I got about 10 minutes to spare on my hrs to make it too Cartersville. Im running hard across 24 east and thinking Nashville traffice will slow me down but I got to get there. Well make it too about a mile before exit 86 on 24 in KY and all lanes come to a hault. Traffic cant handle merging into a single lane for some reason. It took me all most 45 minutes to go that mile. So seeing that I wasnt going to make it - I hit the J at exit 86 and called it a day. Will head out at 4am when my 10 is up and should be able to get there before the class starts - once again so much for getting my reset in.

Hope eveyone is well and please practice safe trucking!

Well Detroit lost there first game this past week so I reckon they could possibly lose again but it won't be easy for the Falcons. Detroit looks good this year.

Looking forward to hearing how your train the trainer class went. Hope your weeks ahead get better for you.

Yea I think this will either a fight to the very end or a blow out. I am praying for the fight though LOL!

Patience my man - I know how you feel. As most who know me know I have absolutely no patience for waiting. It will come and the best part is it will be cold as crap! LOL

Well after some serious cussing/screaming and crying like a baby - I was able to get my 5th wheel fixed and made it too Cartersville about 30 minutes before my class started. Whooo!

Class was very interesting to say the least. I think I was the only "new trainer" in the group so it went kinda fast and I took a lot of notes and asked a lot of questions. Sure I made some mad as I slowed things down with all my questions.

One more thing to get rescolved and then I'll be ready to take my first student. I just hope I can be half the trainer mine was for me and it should be ok!

Did get a chance to me Aylissa yesterday in Cartersville - I think she said she is on day 4 of her training! Give 'em hell girl and keep us posted on your progress.

Dropped in Cherokee this morning and then got a 2 stop p/u 1st is in Houston MS and the 2nd was in Pontotoc MS. All furniture. The first p/u was a drop and hook and then it too the 2nd place 3 1/2 to load 19 couches! I mean COME ON MAN!

So they ate up my remaining hrs - wanted to get past Memphis tonight couldnt -so here I sit at the Pilot in New Albany MS. Dropping this load in Richfield Sunday Morning! Hopefully will get something back out of there Sunday and then it's 4 more days till home time.Working on my 8th week out - I NEED A BREAK! lol

Hope everyone is well and please practice safe trucking!
