    If I am reading it right Per Diem pay for Practical miles is .28 cpm. What is the amount they take out for the Per Diem part?

    Depending on pay plan and according to web site, I think you can make up to. 41 cpm at or over 3000 miles. Right?

    They dont charge for per diem. Its just the lowest of the 4 pay scales. But u get the .02¢ quarterly safety bonus and the extra vaca and holiday pay.

    So what is the amount pre taxes then? I thought Per Diem gives you a certain amount pre taxes versus claiming it at the end of the year. Just trying to figure out which one I want to take before I leave for school.

    .10¢ is pretax.

    Thank you. I just may go with that after all. I like the vacation after 6 months deal and so does my wife.

    Sorry I couldnt get here sooner to answer these - but it looks like other did! Good information is out there - I also recommend you talk to your Tax professional and ensure it's right for your family!

    LOL - there are many great trainers out here and several post on here as well. Once I am done with my current student I will be taking some time off as I usually do in between students. Not a big fan of taking them back to back as I need a break also!

    Current student is doing very well and has logged (himself) over 5K miles and he's only been with me 12 days.
