Not sure when that may be. I am sitting in Indy today. If I get by there I will surely look for you.

    Gotta love the Millis 500!

As I have stated many times and continue to beleive.....Millis is a good company to work/drive for. I base this "solely" on my experiences and no one elses. Since what happens to them doesnt effect me.

Just remember - not everyone is a fit with every company.

    Been another crazy week...............

It's seems I keep getting into "same route" rutts! Had a load from Atlanta going to Eau Claire, WI and was then told to drop it in Ritchfield. Good thing they sent the message when they did or I would have been pissed as I was only about 200 miles away from my delivery point.

As soon as I dropped it - got a load from Watertown, WI to Eden, NC. No issues there expect blowing a drive tire and taking out my mud flap and hanger also. Spent too much time getting that taken care of - then rolled on to Eden. Not to mention is just keeps friggin raining!!!!!!!!

Once in Eden - no time to spare - got a load going Mechanicville, NY. Small little town but very nice and clean. Was concerned due to being very close to my 70 and I let dispatch know that. Once I arrived I had about 1 hr to spare and to try and find a place to park for the night.

Got unloaded fast and as I was closing my trailer doors - a man walks up and says - come to door 18 so I can load you with palletts. I was like "what?". He say's I was just talking to your dispatcher and he said for you to load here. No sooner than I got back in the truck - there was a message to load at the receiver. "Sweet"! No DH - just move to a different door. Only issue is the deliver time is not do-able with the hrs I have left tomorrow, so I send dispatch a message - i get the "just do the best you can and be safe" message.

As I was being loaded - started talking to one of the workers there and asked it he knew of a place close by I could park. He proceeded to not just tell me but walked me around the corner and showed me. The company owns a small ball park for company events adjacent to the building. Large parking lot - well lit and has it's own showers and restrooms. No you just dont get any better than that! I finished loading and pulled into the ball park lot for the night.

Right next door is a grocery, Dollar General and a great little "mom and pop" resturant which he told me to check out. Was awesome food.

Got an early start the next morning and headed back to Eden and it's still friggin raining!!!!!!. Again no sooner as I pulled into the Eden lot - got a load going to Indy.

Staying out like I do - does have a huge impact on my hrs. I try to run about 9 to 10 hrs a day so I dont run out of hrs, but I always seem to get loads that pick up late in the day and have to be 900 miles away in about 24hrs or so. It's killing my hrs each day.

Same issue with the Indy load. Get it dispatched at at 12:30PM going about 600 miles with a delivery time of 8:00AM the next day. Again I send the same message (understand that always keep my dispatcher aware of my hrs so he knows what I am up against. So I get the "what time can you get it there. Well it's 12:30PM on Wednesday, I have about 4.5 hrs left in my 70, I still got to plan my route, log everything, do my PTI on the trailer and so on. I am thinking I can get to at least Hurricane, WV for the night - leaving me about 6 hrs to Indy in the morning. I get back 7 hrs on Thursday also. I figure if I stop by 4:30PM I can roll again by 2:30am to try to make it too Indy on time. I am thinking - traffic issues around Cinn, OH and even on 465 around Indy could slow me down. So I tell him I can get there by 11:00AM. He say's "try to get it there as close as you can to the delivery time". So off I go!

Get to Hurricane and stop for the night - cook a nice dinner and spend just a little time sitting outside talking to another driver. Was a beautiful night and nice cool weather.

Get up and do my PTI and roll out of WV at 3:30AM and head for Indy. No real traffic issues at all - I was suprised by that. Get to the receiver at 9:30AM and get a door to unload. Depending on the time to unload - I have just enough time to get to the Pilot off 70 to sit for the rest of the day and night.

So here I sit - but am enjoying the weather here for sure. Finally no rain and it's beautiful! It's been so cool I havent even had to idle in almost a week. I think I'll send in a "hometime" request for next week or so to get a reset in.

Have a great day and weekend and please be safe!

PS - if you want a copy of the spreadsheet just send me an e-mail and I will forward it too you.

Hey Baritone, I would also like a copy of your spread sheet but I do not have enough post to send you a pm. I just finished school with Sully over in Trenton and I am scheduled to meet up with my trainer on 10/4. Can I send you my info of your facebook account? I also wanted to thank you for all your insight and information that I too have been following these last few months. Be safe out there and enjoy your downtime tonight in Indy.

Ok - glad it's not just me. I was beginning to wonder. Once I switched dispatchers I dont seem to get the same communication with the one I have now. But from what I have heard about him.... no news is good news!

I just hate being late - when the receiver noted on the BOL that it was an hr late, I take the personal since it was my load. Even though I let dispatch know my hrs wouldnt allow an on time delivery and they ok'd it - I still dont like seeing that on paper.

Well - I grabbed that load out of Indy that is a two stop load going to Albany NY and then CT - both deliver on Monday. Was offered to drop it in Trenton but with my low hrs I figured I would just take this and run strong Friday and Saturday. Get to Albany and get a reset in there so I could hit it hard again Monday once unloaded.

So here I sit in Albany about 30 miles from my first stop. But on the bright side there is a sports bar with in walking distance so I will hit that tomorrow so I can watch some games. It's almost impossible to get a Falcons game on TV unless it's a decent sports bar. Listening on sat radio is ok - but dying to watch them live.

Hope everyone has a great weekend and please be safe out there!
