I am curious to see what you guys think of the shippers and receivers Millis deals with. Should we plan on long dreaded waits at distribution centers?

Floormatt84 how long have you been with Mills? How do you like it so far?

Each are different - some are very good about getting you in and out and some are NOT! You sit sometimes waiting to get loaded/unloaded. Most of what you do is drop and hook so it's not all the time.
Customers are usually responding to the way the driver greets them. I always greet them with a smile and be very nice. It works most of the time but some no matter how nice you are - they dont care!Loken Thanks this. -
Absolutely - you have my number now so reach out any time you want!
Take care! -
Rolling along - sitting at 2650 right now before I grab my load out of Pontoon Beach in the morning. Running it too Streater then got another pre-plan for a load from Streater to Trenton. I can get this streater load there tomorrow - then have the Trenton load there on Monday. If all goes well - I'll end up Monday with about 3330 miles this week!

what type of trucks to they have there now, i used to work for millis back in the 90's and they had all t-600, and all those beer loads where nice all day time deliverys and you can show up early, you go to the same place's over and over which is nice, unlike those maga carriers you never now where your going, (its betwenn swift and millis this spring), (most likly millis), also how many owner-operators there not fleece operators,

Millis is running T600, T660, T2000 and Casadia's. I believe there is only around 10 or so owner operators anymore. We picked up a beer load out of Trenton on Friday and got some hometime. Taking this load in the early morning to Liverpool, NY. Hopefully get a good run out of there. Gonna try and schedule my CDL test this week.
Dave. LOL you are in my trainers old truck. He got all giddy when he saw it on your youtube videos. We are in a t660 21 last 3 same as yours. Rocked out last month leading the idle time for the company at 3%. hOPE All is well, I heard you met Kirk down in Cartersville while you were doing you B service. -
Hey Ryeman there is youtube videos on mills transfer? How do you lke Mills so far?
-
The youtube vids are ones Baritone has but up. Goto page 28 of this post to get his user name and put that in the youtube search. I am enjoying Millis. Training is almost over and I am ready to hit it on my own. During my experience I have learned a lot. Met a lot of people and have a good amount of contacts if I have any questions while out on the road. A+ choice for a starter company.
