3%, #### you're spoiled. We've been 0% since I've been in the truck. This dude don't idle for anything, haha.[/QUOTE]

With the change in weather I've got my idle down to only when I run the inverter. The bunck heater does wonders!

Did you hear if Kirk passed his CDL or not?

Well ended last week with over 3500 miles and was really happy with that. This week......not so much!

Grabbed a load going from Trenton to Green Bay which was great. Once I delivered that load got a message asking me to run a local load since the local guy had a family emergency. DH'd 150 miles to grab a trailer and take it 2 miles to customer. I didnt mind though - try to do favors when I can. Once I was done with that got sent a load that had 900 miles on it but delivered the next night - was short on hrs so let dispatch know and was given a short load instead.

The next morning got a load from Markeson, WI to Ft. Worth, TX. Had a lot of time on this load and being it was only Wednesday I could have it there by Friday morning. Sent a message to dispatch to see if I could deliver on Friday instead - never got a response. Got to TX on Friday morning and sent another message about delivering early - dispatch said go ahead and call them. Well after 10 minutes on the phone with the customer - they said they dont take "same day" deliveries. Dang......if dispatch would have responded I could have delivered this sooner. So there I sit for 24 hrs waiting to deliver. Saw a lot more of the Ft. Worth truck stops than I care too!

Saturday morning - I get to the customer and get unloaded and Immediately get a load from Oklahoma City going to The Rock, GA. Great for me since I havent been to Oklahoma City before. Only bad part is the load doesnt pick up until Sunday morning at 9:30am. Asked dispatch if I could get early since some of these are drop and hook. NOPE - it's a live load. So head on up to OKC and get there around noon. While at the t.s found a man that shines rims so went over to his lot and got all my rims buffed and polished. (cheap too). Headed back over to the t.s - made some dinner and called it a night.

Got to the customer about 1 1/2 early and they were more than happy to load me then. While talking to the customer he told me he was happy to see more loads going to Millis. They were not happy with the other company they were using and has always had good service with Millis. Good to hear and even better knowing (per him) they have a lot of loads out of OKC now and will be using us more. We sat and shot the bull while I was being loaded. Once done talking to him - spent a little time playing ball with the driver next to me's dog. Cool yellow Lab and it gave me some exercise also!

Had a little bit of delima this week........the truck I was issued doesnt have a second bunk and the passenger seat is stationary (no air ride either). It's no problem for me - but my son's have now wanted to take a trip with me sometime since I have passed my probationary period. I really debated on this since I have my truck the way I like it and dont want to get assigned one in worse shape. But I decided to ask anyway. So I sent a message to dispatch asking if there ever comes one available - and I am not in any hurry even if it means waiting a few months, could I switch to one with the second bunk? I get a message back saying.......none available now but will see what I can do when one does. Then he sends another message - Go pick up your load!
Like I wasnt going to go get it - I didnt ask to have it today - nor would I have even expected that. Just didnt get the negative comment he sent.
So blew it off and went on my way. I mean #### - I just asked a simple question!

Anyway - Now sitting in West Memphis, AR for the night. Wanted to catch the end of the Falcons game on TV and catch up on the other games for the day. Made an awesome dinner - sauted some onions, green peppers and mushrooms with a couple bacon wrapped fillets. Will leave early in the morning for GA. Got about 450 miles to go and this load doesnt deliver until 05:30 on Tuesday.

Put in for Turkey Day off so we'll see how that works out! LOL

I hope everyone has a Blessed Thanksgiving and stay safe!

I got my truck and went solo on the 11th. I was very fortunate to have an outstanding trainer who was a true professional. It took me almost six weeks to get the 35 days minimum training in due to one weekend my trainer took home, 1 1/2 days getting trk b and c service and a layover in shelby iowa as well as two extra days to get to my truck. got truck Thurs night had load by Friday which i left weedsport at 11:00 am and had 1400 miles by payday Monday. Decided to stay out until Thanksgiving make my home time count. got one full week in prior to heading home with 3,553 pd mi. plus some extra pay for two stop load. Dispatcher sent a note on Monday saying "when you've delivered this load head home, you've had a long ride out there take the rest of the week off. Thanks." I had asked to be home wed night so I replied "10-4". I'll head out Monday mrning after kids go to school and stay out till christmas when they are on break again.

based upon my experience since class on 8-29 I made a good decision to go with Millis. The only complaints i hear are from "Lazy" drivers. I owe this to Baritone and his thread. I hope they are paying you the 2 cnts a mi for the referral as i put your name on my app. Thanks Again!

I also have a "one person" truck with stationary seat and single bunk. Which sucks because the whole time I was going through Training I was telling the kids and wife how they could ride with me after 90 days. My daughters 10 and my son will be 10 in April. Though my wife and I would gladly share the single bunk :), I think the stationary seat would beat th s@#% out of her. Let me know if you make any headway there as the day you posted it I was thinking of how I would pose the question but think I'll wait now. LOL.
