I've got bills to get paid, there is no way I could afford to be back every weekend. I appreciate the fact that they will work with you if something comes up though.

Well finally decided it was time for a few days off. I havent seen home since Xmas. Have been running hard for the most part and miles have been pretty good.

I felt like a regional driver since I got stuck running from Neenah, WI to Cherokee, AL for about a week. Made 5 runs back and forth. Easy run - good miles and the weather is usually much better down south. Well that's what I thought - last trip stopped in Matthews, MO and was iced in that morning and took about 4 hrs to run 100 miles. But the good thing in the south is it doesnt last long. By mid day it was all gone.

Was able to get B service in while between Neenah and Richfield and keep the miles rolling. Ended up Sunday evening in Black River Falls, WI and got to catch the games. I hung around till 6am so I was able to finally meet my dispatcher on Monday morning as well as some others in corporate. All were very nice! Had oil leaking from my turbo and when I let my dispatcher know - he told me to stay in BRF and get it looked at there before I headed to Kenosha to deliver. The shop there not only fixed the oil leak - they replaced all my shocks, 8 new tires and several other things that were missed on my last service (which was only 2 weeks ago) Kudo's the the BRF Shop for going the extra mile. Also finally was able to get a set of Vent Visors installed - last driver of my truck took them off for some reason. Got out of there by 3PM and headed to Kenosha for my delivery.

Tuesday I grabbed a paper load going from Ritchfield to Cin, OH. Got down to Trention last night and met up with Kirk and we grabbed dinner and hung out for a while. Man that guy makes me laugh! I delivered this morning in CInn, OH and then ws told to head home. I ended up with 3500+ miles last week. This week will be very low since I am home for the next 4 days, but I planned for it so it wont hurt me too bad. Since I got home a day early - I'll roll out Sunday instead of Monday.

I so needed a few days out of the truck! Be safe out there!

I hear ya on that.........the freight is there if you are willing to run, able to run and know how to keep the left door closed and run! I know several that dont know how to do that and keep complaining because they dont get the miles.

They'll get you home if/when you need it!

Not bad. I heard that the benefits were only like $30 a week (for family), is that true? That seems too cheap too be true!!

And right you would be. If I remember right it was going to be like $800 for me for the family plan. Fortunately we have decent insurance through the wife's work so I didn't have to bother with it.

Just called and they said that Albany is NOT hiring and that we live too far from Cartersville. We're in Americus! My husband has verifiable experience back to '97 since he turned in his chauffeur's license and no accidents. His 3 year MVR should be clean. I don't get it?????
