Yeah I was originally going to drive but the recruiter I had spoken to told me to plan on being out at least 8 weeks before going home (my first time out) I will be a student needing my CDL License. I thinks it's a better idea to suck it up & take the bus. Luckily I'm only about 4 hour drive from there so I won't be on the bus for too long if things go smooth.

Then Fly, whatever Prime doesn't reimburse, claim on yer taxes as work related expenses.Bigdubber Thanks this. -
Check with your recruiter to be certain, but others have said that Prime will give you the cash value of the Greyhound ticket if you make your own travel arrangements.
A quick look at Greyhound and Expedia indicates that you would have to pay about $200 yourself to fly.Bigdubber Thanks this. -

I've got a couple months to chew it over, we'll see what works out. At least I know I have "options". Thanks.Last edited: Feb 21, 2013

Hmmm... thought we'd covered that in there. Mostly trying to get folks to actually open that one up. Most questions from newbs repeat themselves, and get buried in threads like this. In a year, this one will be buried 3 pages back, and we'll be answering the same questions again. The "What to Expect" thread is an attempt to get as many of the FAQs answered once.
