Live loading at Nestle Anderson. This is a first for me; normally, we are drop and hook but not today. And based on their speed, I hope it is the last time.

3 hours in and still being loaded...more like being buffered by hi-lo operators.

Spending the day at Loves, Oak Creek Wisconsin. I am in the middle of a 4-stop run; the last delivery was at 0630 and the next delivery is 2330.

 Say wha...?!?

And I had a total of 4,000 lbs in the back. For all 4 stops. #poor #planning or what?

And oh yeah. Last night, I checked off another item from the 'bucket list.' Like flatbedding, it is not something I would add, but I did it and survived to promise myself never to do it again. Ever.

And no, I won't say more.4mer trucker Thanks this.

Sitting at the TA just inside the Wisconsin state line with Illinois, I have thoughts:

 1. I overate because the food was good and I had dessert for the first time in forever.
 2. Gordon now known as Heartland Express must have something near here. There are about five aquatint blue trucks all parked in a row, swapping trailers. I talked to one of the drivers, a former Gordon driver. Not a lot of happiness in his words. Less in his voice.
 3. I never knew this place was here. Nice place.

Another thought from an observation on the road in the hills of Pennsylvania.

It is a shame a bear family will do as the mother does. In one case, she led herself and two cubs to their deaths trying and failing to cross I-76.

What a sad sight. First, a large black bear carcass. Then two small dead black bears. Fairly fresh, too.Last edited: Oct 6, 2016
popcorn169 and 4mer trucker Thank this.
