All my John Deere green has been removed by six customers from Kentucky to West Texas. And now I sit at the last one, waiting for a preplan...

I do love it when one of my planned stops is 45 minutes away from a daughter and grandchildren. We enjoyed really good Mexican food in Wichita Falls, Texas, last night after I unloaded Stop 5 in Burkburnett. Pretty sweet, actually.

But now I'm unloaded and available...and going on a 3-hour wait for a preplan. Grrrrrr......

Texarkana, Arkansas, an unplanned midway stop because somehow the planners thought I could make a 17-hour trip in 11 hours of driving. Alas, my space portal machine broke, so warp speeds were not possible.

The Denny's restaurant here at the J (I30, exit 7) has the best food and absolutely the worst service of any place I have been. And they don't swipe the Pilot card; I wish the PFJ execs would stop allowing facilities to occupy space and not take the card.

This is what my tarping job looks like. Not bad for a beginner, though it is still taking hours.

There is a discount card you can get at Denny's. It's like 10-15% off the check. It's specifically for drivers.

So I go in and get one (yay!) and learn that with it I will get a 10% discount! Yay! However, much to my consternation, I also learn that my AARP card which I have carried for years, gives a 15% discount.

Ah, the things one learns during simple conversation...

I stopped at the TA near Hope, Arkansas, to get a headlight and trailer blinker replaced, and one of my truck markers checked; its intermittent. No worries, though. My delivery in Memphis isn't until Monday AM, so with luck, they'll fix the truck quickly and I'll still be able to move closer to get a 34 reset.
