Oh, I love snow...I'm Alaskan! But snow + ice + tarping? Perish the thought!

One last truck stop on this monster 4-day, 350-mile trip. Yeah, that's right; less than 100 miles a day. I wish I would win the lottery and give all this up. And even more, I wish the Lake Station offramp would get finished. It's been closed for 4+ years! C'mon, Indiana. Work it!

Most everything in IN is on a 5 year plan, and I-94(and 80/90) seem to have recurring 5 year plans.

I'm not aware of a timetable for completion but there should be one for that ramp.

Until then, get off on the next ramp and go south to the Road Ranger and turn around and come back north, or get off at exit 19(assuming you are going westbound), and run US 20 west to Ripley.

    Closed ramps are common, unfortunately.

That's the route I've taken since I drove here regionally years ago. I just don't like it anymore now than I did then. Fortunately, I also don't get here very often, either.

No need to go home. All there is there is grass that needs mowing.

All I will say is this:

The QC message I just read makes me appreciate the professionalism displayed by the DM's I had at Gordon and WEL. Even though there were bumps and disagreements, I never, ever was addressed like I just was.

Yeah, do tell. You can't leave us in suspense like that.

For your records, you should take a picture of it.
