Definetly gives you ample time to prepare your exit strategy!

Have you talked to Van Kampen, Van Eerden, Griffin, or any of the others over there?

I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet or where. It's a process, a perplexing process.

And another night at the Mother Ship, this time waiting for "the body shop" to finish replacing a marker light on the front of the cab. But hey. I do have 50% new drive tires! And a new windshield, which is nice, since I had a very small hail chip that isn't a problem but that would, no doubt, grow large enough to be a problem in the very near future. What I didn't know until the heavy rain yesterday was I have a huge leak on the driver side. But hopefully that is now gone and I have a good windshield.

But what I don't have is a load out yet because I'm still on maintenance hold. Maybe tomorrow...

PM done, windshield replaced, malfunctioning clearance lights repaired, 2 super-single drive tires replaced, window washer filled, but no truck wash.

Now I sit in the outbound bobtail lot, waiting for a load assignment so I can get a gate pass out of here. 47 hours 40 minutes off duty and counting...

But there are interesting sights here in the outbound bobtail lot. Like the guy (my age, apparently) who is trying to parallel park his car against a right curb. I don't think he knows how...

Did you actually sit another day for a light??? Dude, c'mon. Seriously. How are you gonna call out a guy who can't park when you can't change a bulb?

Well, in this place, once you're inside the guard shack, you can't leave until everything is cleared. And they do the work, not the drivers. Sorry, Joe. You wouldn't like it here.
