Unbelievable. Apparently, drivers going northbound out of Florida into the South Carolina Visitor Center cannot read signs.

There are two very clear white signs with arrows pointing in two different directions: "Cars" go this way and "All other vehicles" go this way. Very clear.

Then, after a bit, there are two more clear signs with arrows, one pointing busses to the left and all other vehicles to the right.

Pretty clear, right? I thought so as I turned right...

Well, guess what fills up the few remaining 70' TRUCK parking spots? Trucks? No. Busses, then? No way (bus drivers have to read to take the test, too.) So how about pickups pulling a trailer? No such luck.

Cars fill the spots. POV's. 4-wheelers. Lots of 'em, not pulling anything.

Probably 50 of them parked there, right where I would have parked...IF A SPOT WASN'T ALREADY FILLED WITH A CAR! And not one of them was moving back to the car parking area. Not. One.

No wonder we get so frustrated at them. What idiots.

We have weed-burner exhausts on our trucks. When the situation comes up like you described, or even when a motor home is parked in a spot with a slide-out open, I like to park directly beside of them and do a parked regen. High idle and hot, smelly exhaust. I've actually had a 4-wheeler knock on my door and ask to shut off the truck, to which, I politely replied, if you were parked on your assigned side of the lot, you wouldn't be bothered by what my truck is doing.

Sitting in the Hook near Columbus for the weekend. Picking up a load on Monday enroute Northern Wisconsin, a good run.

Ah, but it's central Ohio to far northeastern Wisconsin. Across the river from Ironwood, Michigan, in the Michigan UP.

Tru dat...where they sort of speak English. I spent a lot of time in Ironwood when I was with the FAA. There's a large FedEx air cargo hauler based there. It's a VERY long drive from Grand Rapids up the eastern side of Lake Michigan, I can tell you that. My trip will take me up the western side.
