I end up with 3.55 ratio...I will get 2013 engine, and this engine are geared higher...I running reefer from wi to ca and back...75000 to 80000 gross...I must keep that engine in good RPM range for good power and good fuel mileage...I think you will hurt your fuel mileage with 3.36 ratio with your set up...I am talking for cruise on 65 mph in my case...if you gona run 70-75, 3.36 or 3.25 is great choice...just keep engine rpm over 1400 in top gear and you should be great...
-
yes, i called cummins about it and was told that 3.42-3.55 is the best option including with 450 isx ST for west coast runs..altough for fuel millage/pulling power they recomend the 450ST and 3.55r being up to 8% better...than 485h /1650tq

ORAM got it with 3.08r hope he can report what was the RPM at 65m/h.....and SHOW US SOME PICTURES.....
...ORAM did go with full fenders????
Still debating where to place the air dryer:::::BOC left side....or inside of the frame right side......i'll go with orizontal exaust, and coilled 15feet air/electric hose on the left side....and 3/4 fairings to have the APU 20'' empty space right side...232WB ....13 ultraplus...got it down to 144K FET in. -
TULY, do you know you can get 3/4 fairing on the right for the APU and full on the left?
-
I am sorry, but for the picture you have to wait for the first sunny day. I had a paparazzi photo by my daughter, but I cancelled her right to post it before the official introducing day.

I have ordered the minimizer 1352 full fender. It supposed to be at the dealer by next week.
The 3.08 ratio seems fine for me, but I feel the maximum torque from 1000 is a little stretch. I would not recommend for west coast, hilly terrain, or for heavy loads. But I will have my first loaded trailer tomorrow, I will know a little more in a few days. Oh. My cruising speed is 62 and the RPM is 1150. The fuel mileage does not seem too promising to me, but it is too early tell. -
ZEN,...yes i've seen one truck like it but seemed odd looking
-
ok,about the picture,at least tell us the paint name
.......i'll go with AZTEC GOLD EFFECT((light metalized brownish)) and tan interior
I like the minimizer 2480 but they go with 24.5lp tires......so the 2260 should do it
ORAM.......how much for 1352 tandem set????? -
My colors are deep tropical blue with silver fairing and fenders. Slate grey interior. Your colors are beautiful, I remember the Aztec gold effect. It can be in flames in the sunshine.
The fenders with braces and freight charge is 1270$. -
nice combination on yours too with grey interior,i've been thinking about it too.....always liked a bit more brown colors, including i painted my old truck's white 2000 volvo 770,the fairings brown....soo i went light brown/orange/red looking paint now
ORAM,was there a extra $$$$ to have the fairings in different color??????
tnx for the minimizer info...i'll call them to ceck the michigan distributors.... -
