Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

I don't like alienating anyone...even people who listen to rap...which comes in so many varities...most people who respond to rap hear the 'commercial' versions...or the loud no melody no harmony thump thump stuff guys play in their cars...
Rap is like Rock...it's an umbrella term...it covers a broad spectrum of sound or sounds...
There are even people who listen to rap...who don't like other styles of rap...
I love everyone...I want everyone to be happy...whether you listen to rap or new country...
Personally I prefer old country...I could listen to old country all day long...but new pop modern country is to me what rap is to you....
Anyhow...that's not my main theme...my main theme is I know of another company that's looking for teams...they have 2007 Columbia Freight liners with automatic trannies...and they do coast to coast runs from Alabama, Florida and Goergia....
They need teams now!!
If anyones interested let me know...and no, don't worry...I already have a job so you don't have to worry that I'm the one you would team with...
I'm just trying to look out for ya....
I took this photo in Orlando, FL...this poor fello got kicked to the curb...abandoned...no place to go and alone...I felt so bad for them...this is how more and more truckers are going to end up...if we don't start looking out for each other...
trucker43 Thanks this. -
4th rule of trucking.....
If you or your co-driver listens to rap, throw CB out window then pull over and discard keys and CDL! -
New school divisivness being displayed right here...the new spirit that has divided the trucking communtiy...no more manners...instead insult and divide...the new school way...hooray...
-
It's called respect...I have met many drivers of various backgrounds and tastes over the years...and when i was new...I showed a lot of respect for those who had been at it a lot longer than I...
And the last thing I wanted to do was insult people or their prefered style of dress or clothing or the way they spoke or what they listened to...rather I focused, and still do, on the things we had in common or brought us together...
And that's back when trucking was fun...when people chatted on the radio...and learned from one another...
That spirit seems to be gone now though...now it's me me me me me...
Who can I insult...who can I disrespect...
'I don't like it, so therefore it's bad and I'll put it down'...yep...that's the new spirit...
I've been around and helped by too many different drivers of all backgrounds to sit here and insult someones prefered style of music...that shows immaturity at the worst level...
I thank all those who have come before me, I salute all my fellow hard working drivers...whether you listen to rap or opera or jazz or heavy metal or classic rock or goth or punk or bluegrass or bee bop or classic country or marching band music or techno or poka or reggae or whatever or all of the above...
We have it hard enough as it is without turning on each other...makes no sense to me at all to do that... -
Holy cow man, did you read the whole post???There's NO DISRESPECT GOING ON HERE. It was a joke from early in the post.

Some folks are waaaaaay toooooo serious. Lighten up and laugh a little.
That's the major problem in society today...we have forgotten how to LAUGH!!!.
Stop looking for reasons to be offended and LAUGH!!! For cryin' out loud.
Want compromise??? Then agree with me and we'll have compromise. Why do I always have to believe what you believe for it to be called compromise?Crusher, Wiseguywireless and trucker43 Thank this. -
Well said, nice success story (in the beginning). I hope all works out well for both of you and for god sakes, if both of you like rap music don't tell anyone.
shriner75 and ampm wayne Thank this. -
A friend used to listen to rap. There was some funny songs (1990 or so) "Yo momma's smokin crack rock" and "F@## the mother F#$#$#$ president" were my favorites.

What do you think about drivers that listen to Frank Zappa?
-
They are......without a shadow of a doubt among the elite of truckers where music appreciation is concerned.
