I've taken it too and no, it's not more involved. It's actually quite easy.

I took it once upon a time as well and it was pretty simple, but maybe things have changed.

Well, I don't know about anyone else, but I, for one, am NOT a new driver (at least not as the posters on this forum seem to define new, anyway), neither with the company I am with now (been there almost a year and a half already), nor in the business altogether (over 3 years verifiable experience), and I can relate to having had to go through nearly everything this person mentioned above (with the possible exception of the hours of service, probably the only thing, or at least one of the very few good things about my company, which is that I have never had them give me a hard time about me not wanting to exceed my legal logbook hours). So I AM qualified to speak when I say that the issues raised above are, sadly, all too true. If I could quit today, I would, but until I can square away another job or other source of income so that I can continue to pay our bills and support myself and my wife, I have to stick with it and try to put up with their ######## for now as this is our only source of income for the moment. But believe me, I am presently working very diligently to put something else together so that I can quit and we won't wind up on the streets.

Yep, C.R. englund started advertising on the local employment sight in Tillamook, Oregon. Local jobs. Right. Never seen any Englund trucks around there let alone running local stuff. But they put 3 different ads in the employment site (state) one of which said local. Those guys suck btw.

Same here. Definitely no CR England jobs anywhere near here! Definitely no local.

Come check out this great local job. Fill out an application for the job that will never exist and we'll convince you to lease from us after all: Bait and switch the whole way.

    Wheelwell and starvintrucker Thank this.

Did you READ his ##### POST before you passed judgement? I went through that ######## test with Roehl. But *I* didn't have to drive for two days and sleep in my ##### CAR to go to orientation. They actually offered me a bus ticket for the 87 mile trip (La Crosse, Wi to Marshfield, Wi). I refused, and was paid mileage reimbursement via a T-Check the minute I signed on. So, Roehl is a superior company in the respect category. When I did MY stress test, we were told the previous evening: NO COFFEE, no energy drinks, NO stimulants of any kind (cold medicine etc.). Sounds like this guy got blindsided and lied to by a recruiter who gets a bonus based on how many people sign up... 2 points? I passed mine by 10 because the entire time I was doing it, I was envisioning myself on a lake shore in a folding chair with a line in the water... that vision keeps the blood pressure down... Now before anyone accuses me of being a cheerleader for Roehl, I only gave them kudos for the respect category. In EVERY other way, they're just like any other large company... lousy paycheck transport.
