With 2 years experience why not leave and get a better paying job? You ought to be able to pick up another 10K.

I believe thats the best explanation of per- diem
that Ive seen ! :biggrin_2556: this is also the expression I had
on my face after checking out the new benifits guide that we all got this last week. Any body else have that expression after reading the new guide?

Judas - Just trying to figure out how you can drive 64,000 miles in 7 days! Roehl must have some good mechanics working on the truck, man. On your original post dated 9/1/09 you stated your truck had 342k. On your post, I'm quoting, you state it has 406k. By my "hillbilly" figurn' I come up with 64,000 miles. Lets see, if you make .33 cpm that's $21,120. I was gonna go with one of the bigger truckin' companies, but, for this kind of money I'll check out Roehl. Hillbilly Trucker

Well I'm not a Hillbilly but by my cyphering (sp) since the trucks are governed to 63 and you can only drive 11 hours tops but lets use 10 hrs a day so in 7 days you drive 70 hours that gives you a grand total of 4,410 miles. Stay were you are because at the end of driving there I was lucky to get 2,200 for the week. By the way that doesn't take into consideration loading and unloading time that eats into your HOS.

I wouldn't brag about that too much. You are a newbie. Let me know how things are going in about a year.:biggrin_2559:
