Yea, thats the thought, it seems to me that paying a brand new price for a used truck on a lease agreement only benefits the comany u are buying it from. The tires must of been the deal maker, thats a lot of $ worth the rubber. and it's good to see that some one else can make this work, i keep telling myself, work hard, save $, live conservitive, keep the door closed and the wheels turning. I will miss the wife and kids, but sometimes a sacrafice is called for to make a future life.
stat safe.

I did not see next post before writing that last one, and I definitly see what everyone is saying about staying home but most local jobs in my area want experience, i need that experience fisrt. I hope to be be home more in the long run but for now this seems to be what i need to do. We as a family have talked this out and are all on the same page, so we will make this work.
thanks for all input.

most places do want experience, however i drive straight trucks and can tell you right now, straight truck jobs are far easier to get with out experience since the skill level isnt as much as a class A truck, so if you walk into a place with a class A license with no experience, you'll be up there for sure, cant guarantee you'll find something but like i said straight truck jobs are much easier to find then a tractor trailer job.

Today I drove a big rig for the first time, we went bobtail on back roads for shifting practice. It was an eye opener for sure, double clutch, don't depress clutch fully, gas it when down shifting, ect. We all did pretty good, considering none of us had ever done this before. I feel I will pick it up ok, Theres SO much more to learn after I get my cdl but now I really feel like I'm on my way. We are doing all skills lot tommorow so it's another chance to learn how much I have to learn, But I am stoked! I can't wait to go to bed so I can get up and go to school!
Keep Safe, Happy Trails.
