There is a old truck stop that's longer open can park at in Alamo. Also lots of wide spots you park at.

A semi open truck stop just past Lund a couple of miles. Also a truck stop at Ash Springs just North of Alamo. If you have the time also a truck stop in Ely as well as parking at the grocery store next to McD and a new Loves if it has opened .

Busting out another stellar week. Decided to just go ahead and get to NJ a day early so I could get in a reset and be ready for another strong week. Should be back in Grand Prairie on Wednesday noonish to drop my backhaul and hopefully be pulling out another decent outbound trip. Pretty sure I crossed over the last remaining bridge over the Mississippi that I hadn't crossed today and what a sweet one it was. The back to back Cairo Mississippi River Bridge and Cairo Ohio River bridge are dandies. Some really narrow dudes but I will definitely be taking this route more often as the Kentucky parkways are just so much nicer and traffic free than most every other route to the east.Crusader66 Thanks this. -

Made it up to NJ last night as planned. Was a little concerned that the service plaza just south of exit 8a on the turn pike would be packed up but surprisingly quite a few places to park around 2300 est. Getting my reset in and should have another solid week in front of me.Crusader66 Thanks this. -
Got in and out fairly quickly today. There were 5 other Poly trucks that arrived there after I did. Strange as I have never been offered that load in 4 years and we had that many trucks there? Perhaps a new stop (Costco, Monroe Township)? Line getting in was monstrous but they moved pretty quick. Made it back to Mt. Sterling, KY tonight and plan on being in SW Arkansas tomorrow. Only two loads leaving out for Wednesday when theygot to me, Loveland, CO and Valparaiso, IN (first time I have been offered that load as well). I chose the Indiana one. Hoping my truck will be ready when I get back on Wednesday, this one has a clogged injector code working for it now so hoping it makes it back to the yard as well.

Well just turned 3959 miles in the last 7 days which also included a reset. That in layman's terms is what is called gettin' her done.
Sitting in Searcy AR tonight with about 630 miles to go tomorrow. Put in a request to get back to GP for a trip to Vegas for a couple of days of home time.
Had to take the old loaner out again as my truck wasn't ready yet but she is running strong so all is well. -
Another new stop for me. Luckily the Aldi in Valparaiso, IN has overnight parking because the little Pilot down the road is a cluster. Unfortunately no love from backhaul today so puts me in a quandary in regards to upcoming loads/home time etc. as I only have 27 hours left after 4 days of hauling ###.

#### I am going to rue the day when they finally denut the last of us that still make troubled loads arrive on schedule. Had to rescue a load yesterday from a broke down driver. A nifty little 1400 mile two day smoky and the bandit run that you just ain't doing on a #### clock. After tomorrow's trip to baytown, tx for a Monday reset I will have turned over 4300 miles for the last 7 days, would be close to 4500 paid miles on my driver friendly hubmeter in my regular rig but still a pretty epic week. I just have to shake my head when I hear drivers here say they can't get miles.againstthewind Thanks this. -
There used to be a small USA Truck terminal in Bethel PA ten or so years ago.
There was a Dutch mechanic from Europe that worked there. One day he sat on the commode and couldn't get up because one of the other mechanics had put some superglue on the seat. He had to be taken to hospital with toilet seat attached to his hind end. A nurse removed it with plenty of nail polish (and TLC).
