My Poly Trucking experience

Sitting in a hotel room tonight courtesy of my alternator. Managed to knockout the first stop in Pasco and finagled my way out of hopefully a long delay by finding a place that actually had the part I needed in house as Michelin service was abysmal. My Astoria Oregon drop is open on Saturday so regardless of what time I am out tomorrow here in Yakima I should be able to unload early Saturday and hopefully have a BH awaiting. Maximizing my recap hours every day and just killing it on miles.

 

Yakima mechanics had me up and running by noon on Friday so didn't miss any driving time. Unloaded in Astoria, Oregon Sat morning and picked up a bit down the road in Forest Grove heading back to Lancaster, TX.

Another Coleman cooler bit the dust so on ice bags now which sucks but can't let that prosciutto go bad

Late start out of the terminal today as my Lancaster load at Quaker Oats didn't deliver until 1230 pm and after that got hit with a random drug test before I could head out on my Bloomington load. Just the second one I've had in 4.5 years so not that much of a hassle, just stuck me into the #### storm that is Dallas rush hour traffic. Hopefully outbound will have a juicy western load for me leaving out from Cottage Grove on Friday.

Awaiting unloading in Bloomington and then rolling over to the terminal to pick up another Western heading load. Drops in Grand junction, Colorado, SLC and clearfield, Utah. Perfect trip as I needed to be gentle on my hours the next couple of days.

Three pretty easy 400+ mile days driving since Friday. Sitting in Grand Junction, CO tonight with a ribeye marinating. Well managed to knock off all 3 drops today even with the first guy not showing up on time this morning. Unfortunately didn't get a call from back haul until 1700 with a p/u for tomorrow in SLC. I suppose that's fine as it is still a manageable two day drive back to deliver down the road from the terminal in Grand Prairie on Thursday morning. Will allow me to get through the yard Wednesday night and hopefully snag a loaner as my old girl will be about 4K past due on a PM and I need my window replaced.
