    So when you guys get back and test out is that it? Or do you go back out with another trainer for a longer period of time?

    U go thru a TNT phase for 30000 mi with a trainer luck for me my instructor is going to also b my trainer I don't have to take all this stuff out of here once I get mY CDL :biggrin_25519:

    Yeah I got a good instructor he's patient and doesn't yell or get upset if I grind a gear(mainly going to to 5th this week for some reason) he's also very helpful on d backing which I do 100% of now

    When I 1st got into the 10 speeds (I learned on 9 & 13 speeds) I had the same issue with 5th... then I looked up the transmission's specs out of boredom & curiosity one day.

    The ratio difference between 4th & 5th is actually a bit different than it is between the rest of the gears in the box... I don't recall off the top of my head the exact difference... but there is one.

    Bottom line... I found that I had to be a tad "quicker" with the timing going from 4th to 5th than I did for the other shifts up through the box... not much, maybe 50-75 RPM or so less "drop" between the gears & it would slide right in... try that & see if it works for you.

    I've noticed that when I'm n 4th as soon as I reach 1200(nothing over) if I shift quickly it will slide ride n sometimes I just skip over it and go right to 6th(d good gear n this truck) if u happen to grind 4th 5th go to 6th and d majority of d time it will go in but it all depends on rpm/speed w/shifting
