Well, at least someone around here will be able to answer questions about the tanker division.

Get yourself some warm clothes and a nice lawn chair... Tanker I talked to last year said that most of the customers require the driver to monitor the pumps and hoses from outside the cab during the entire loading and unloading process....

no more naps in a dock.

    Seebs Thanks this.

So what made you decide to go tanker? I took the tanker and hazmat tests when I got my permit just so I wouldn't have to take them later on. I did read on primes site that tanker pays a lower percentage for tankers than reefer or flatbed. What didn't you like about reefer?

Wanted to try something new. Though I have decided to stick with reefer a bit longer though. Tanker runs a lot of night runs and receivers don't take weather as an excuse.

So figure new guy in a tanker in the mountains of Pennsylvania running night in winter. My fm and i agreed it'd be better to hold off a bit more. Who knows. Might stay reefer if I decide to stop hating wind and things continue to look up.

You can't be a scared trucker Seebs. I'm on track to going to Prime orientation as soon as I get my money up. I'll be starting reefer when I get there. Maybe Spring will be good for me, but in the meantime I'm going to go ahead and get all the endorsements I can.
